***Official GTX 670 thread***

Pretty sure all the frustrated people that have been unable to purchace a gtx 680 so far are dying to get their hands on this. I hope that there is enough stock to go around and we wont have the gtx 680 pricing fiasco all over again. I still find it hard to believe that a gtx 670 can easily compete or even outperform an hd 7970. Would definately be interesting to see whether Amd will lower their prices again...somehow i doubt it

Did some one say overclock boost?

As we know Core @ stock (Gigabyte OC) 980mhz boosted to 1060mhz

Extra 100mhz on the core boosts up to 1301mhz

Overclocking beyond 1100mhz was apparently unstable, without increasing voltage.

Well I don't see how they can't, who will buy a 7970 if it gets beat by a card that cost a considerable amount less?

I am expecting that if all this is true AMD have got to do something to stay competitive, and it should put AMD where there belong, as I feel this generation of cards they have over stepped the mark regarding what they are charging.

Okay I can't really understand Chinese at all but here are some game benchmarks from the same person above.

So wait, does the gigabyte windforce over lock better than / have a higher stock voltage than a tiny PCB reference design?

I don't want to spend more money on it if its not gonna be any better.

Would EVGA allow a step up from a reference GTX 670 to a FTW edition within a few months time or not?

I have a hunch the 680 PCB based cards will clock better, but we won't know anything until Thursday. I hope we get some more info soon.

What's gigabytes policy on removing the coolers? Need a backup plan incase ocuk don't have any large PCB MSI cards on Thursday.

I've discussed removing coolers on the Gigabyte forums before, the mods told me that as long as the card is returned as it came in the box, they will still service it.

They are second best to EVGA for warranty, and have 3 years so you can't go wrong. As long as any modifications you make aren't permenent and they can be reversed before sending them back, Gigabyte will still service them.

Lots of people want the Gigabyte version though, I hope there's enough stock on release day.

It will be between £300-£350 for stock models, closer to the £350.

£350 for the mid/high range card, didn't the GTX 570 launch at around £250?

Prices are to high this gen for little more performance than the last, power efficiency has improved but performance wise, nothing there to justify the high prices imho...

No EVGA will only give out a reference card not any upgrades like the F.T.W and so on.
