I upgraded from a 480GTX! People where warning me against it but i have to say it made a hell of a different in gameplay and temps!
 
Can't wait for some water blocks to come out and get these cards under water!, I am very impressed by the way these cards perform, it makes a difference to me coming from 480 SLI, although I am gaming at 2560 x 1440 though.

Do these clock down once they go over a certain voltage? Been tinkering and the GPU core clock drops down to 400ish for periods during some games. This is over 50% GPU usage the whole time?

I;m aware of the tdp limit, but surely a little voltage increase higher than 1.138 shouldnt be anywhere near that?
 
I've seen games drop clocks with 50% GPU usage, force maximum performance in the CP for any games down clocking and causing problems
 
LOL. You guys remember I mentioned a few pages back that i bought my 580 from that well known auction site and got £223 worth of vouchers in the process? turns out they messed up and I just got an e-mail confirming it, but also saying:

"In the spirit of the holiday season, we decided that you should take full advantage of this unexpected bonus and keep the extra points."

I know at least one other person on here took advantage of this at the same time as me.

how come people are hitting much higher with lower clocks ?
 
You should be hitting about 28k GPU score with them clocks, you could have driver issues. Run the heaven benchmark and post screens of the results. Make sure you have no AA or AF on in the CP.
