Bendtner is a forward, he's a big forward.
Forwards are supposed to score goals, or at least look like scoring, He can't do either. He's got a poor touch, slow, and has poor passing.
So he might win a few balls in the air? So what? He's nothing more then a back up for Arsenal imo, no where near good enough.
I saw him play a fair bit for Birmingham (where he looked half decent) and have seen him a lot for Arsenal. He's just not a good football, even the Danish don't rate him (watched Denmark V Sweeden when I was in Denmark)
He's the first name on the teamsheet for Demark, is their main player, sets up numerous goals and scores lots of the national team, as he did at Birmingham, as he's done at Arsenal with a run in the team, he was scoring last year at almost the same rate as the likes of Rooney, just with far less time on the pitch, no confidence and no support.
If you don't think he's very good at football, you don't know football, he's barely once in his entire time at Arsenal played in his position, the few times he has he's been outstanding, the Sheffield Utd game was probably his best game, withdrawn striker, late runs into the box and providing throughballs for a striker infront of him, thats his forte, not being a lone striker, not as a left winger, he's been more effective as a right winger than lots of our other players.

This year 11 starts, 5 goals 1 assist, last year 38 starts, 18 goals , 9 assists, helping. 17 prem league starts last season, with 9 goals and 2 assists, shocking poor right. Considering about 2 of those games were in his best position I'd say thats pretty damn good.
Its fairly simple, he barely played more than a couple games in a row before being dropped all year, no matter if he scored or not. His interplay is very good with RVP, and they looked better when towards the end of the season Wenger tried RVP the further forward of the two a few times, most of his appearances were alongside a useless lazy moron in Ade who unless you gave the ball to him 3 inches from the goal, did nothing with it. I'm fairly sure after scoring 2, and getting 3 assists against Sheffield Utd he was dropped for a couple games, and thats how it was all year. Not sure how you gain a young player confidence by dropping him after a performance few players ever produce. If Cesc had done that the world would be creaming themselves(rightly) at a fantastic performance. When a unliked player produces the same, its ignored completely.
If he's such a bad finisher, I wonder how he had almost the same goal/minutes on the pitch ratio as Rooney and all but the top 2-3 strikers in the league. He had one bad game where a unfortunate number of chances fell on his left foot all very close to the goal but all chances with no time, just a reaction shot, he I believe still got an assist in that game, and got 2-3 in the games after it, but people decided to brand him useless on one 5 minute spell.
