Can people stop listing examples of players abusing their own fans? It's makin my argument look rubbish!

Seriously though, compared to how many black players have played for Italian clubs the amount abused (by own fans) is still very low.

they painted there faces black aswell and written on white tees 'Hamilton Family' and then sat in the grandstand and chanted racial slurs. disgusting the spanish fans. its been clamped down on but still the spanish are notoriously racist, its quite disgusting. i remember heskey and ashley cole got a lot of **** from the spanish supporters when england played there a few years ago.

in fairness the spanish authorities really are trying to clamp down on it, but people always get through the cracks.

To be fair he was the top scorer in the German League last year, so well worth a flutter for a non Prem. team - he just can't hack it in this league as he's fat and average!

Spain's a very racist country. So is Italy. I remember being called a monkey by an exchange student once.

Patrick Viera when at Arsenal said he'd never play in Italy due to the racist fans. So off to Milan he went.:p

Yes! I want him out and I can't believe we turned down £9m for him! NINE million prawns for that load of ****. Personally I would have thrown him out ages ago and took it as a lesson to be more wise in the transfer market.

Although I suspect this is just "press talking" and that hes got other offers floating around... because its Benites, I fear that hes telling the truth. Even if the money we could get for him goes directly in the hands of the directors, its still better getting that press talking, arrogant little **** out of the dressing room.

I've been wondering where all the football threads had gone, I've only just noticed the little sub-forum :o

ROFL. That story came from the Mirror and despite the headline of 'Benitez: I could be forced to sell Gerrard and Torres' he doesn't mention either player in the interview. It's journalism at its worst.
 
The mirror also reported that Benitez would have no money to spend in the January transfer window then proceeded to say the £1.5million purchase of Rodreguez was all but finalised :o
 
Reports of a big clearout at UTD cant be true surely? Berb/Anderson/Nani/Vidic no way they will all go thats a lot of players that need to be replaced in an already thin squad :s

You dont even need to do that, we are an extremely racist country, the people just are not so open about it.
I live in lincolnshire, and people making disparaging remarks about someone because of their race or skin tone are quite common, but even then, they wouldnt go out and black up and scream monkey in some guys face like the Spaniards.

That's a nothing statement anyway - 99.9% of football clubs have to consider big-money bids for their players. It doesn't mean they have to accept the bids, just that they have to consider them.

I dont blame him, he looked good against Man Utd and if you have a shot at the prem then you arent going to turn it down.

It could take leeds two or three seasons to reach there so as his contract is up and his profile quite high at the moment he should try and do whats best for him.
