talk of Anderson to Lyon

this would be a huge mistake. cant believe fergie is even thinking about letting anderson go.

he is our only mobile midfielder, only central midfielder who can actually run past someone AND has the effort/pace to get back!

and he's our only central left footer..he's seriously better than Gibson..

im gonna be mad if he goes:/

it would also equal a wasted £100 million in about 3 years..

Berbatov 30 million
Carrick 18 million
Anderson 15 million
hardgreaves 18 million
Nani 17 million
Tosic 7 million

= 105 million?

i class berbatov and hardgreaves because berbatov has never shown 30million being recouped in performance or sale...hardgreaves because he has played about 1 game for us... and carrick for obvious reasons (because he is a miserable attempt at a scholes replacement)...

Ferguson has really lost his way with transfers recently, couple of them are just awful. Nearly £20m for the likes of Anderson and Nani is daylight robbery.

There's just one player I would like us to sign in the next year. N'Zogbia.

Well, a top notch striker to replace Keane too if he doesn't find his form.

Chances of signing him are obviously low though. Only just signed for Wigan.

He is a good player but again, very inconsistent... seems to be the same across the team at the moment apart from Rooney...

Although I think a midfield of Obertan - Anderson - Hargreaves - Valencia would be very very nice.

LOL :D There's only two players in there, and one of them is perpetually crocked!

I dont, with Scholes, Carrick and Fletcher we've got enough holding or ball winning midfielders

LOL :D

You must be the only person in the world to ever mention the word 'Scholes' with 'ball winning midfielder' without the word 'not' in there somewhere :)

You'd think at some point along the way someone would have taken him to one side and shown him the difference between a tackle and a foul.

Can't believe how awful his tackling is still. He absolutely must know he's about to clatter somebody since it happens all the time, which leads me to believe he can only be doing it on purpose

Portsmouth website:
O’Hara Rejoins Pompey On Loan

Jamie O’Hara has rejoined Pompey on loan from Tottenham until the end of the season.

The 23-year-old midfielder made 14 appearances for the Blues in the first half of the season, making his debut in a 3-2 home defeat to Bolton in September.

His only Pompey goal to date came in a 3-1 loss at Blackburn in November.

O’Hara joined Tottenham’s academy in 2003 and has made 56 appearances for the north London side, scoring seven goals.

He made his Spurs debut in a 1-0 victory over Pompey at Fratton Park in December 2007 and was named the club’s 2007/08 young-player-of-the-season.

Prior to that, he enjoyed successful loan spells with Chesterfield and Millwall.

Too early to judge whether or not some of the transfers have been worth it. Anderson and Nani may yet show their true potential as they are still very young nor are those transfer fees correct. The one transfer that does stand out to me is Berbatov as he will have nowhere near the same resale value should he or Ferguson decide that it isn't working out.

Lost
For
Words

Because he's tearing it up in the championship.... Ameobi/the other long haired one. Being half decent in the championship is MILES away from being good in the premiership, where Johnson showed very little last year.

Unless you think SWP is much better than Johnson, which would be unbelievable.

AS for Anderson, do Utd fans realise(if the stat I read is true) that he's played in all your defeats so far, and is generally completely crap. Only mobile midfielder? what, able to get back? what.

He goes upfield, often running with the ball always chooses the wrong option, passes the wrong way and generally passes and shoots like crap. His "getting back" consists of him running back, fouling someone, getting a card and putting on his little petulant "but I'm brazillian with the great locks man" look.

Then that fantastic stat for Berbatov, where Utd have gotten an average of like 2.44points with Berbatov IN the team and only 1.3points or something with him out of the team. He's a great player and 2nd only to Rooney this year, and only because Rooney finally found his scoring boots.
