Obviously I've said something which doesn't quite compute with some people :p

I still stand by my comment, this is exercise in the same way Wii Fit is exercise (although much superior IMO), and I seem to recall at the time that was labelled as not being a proper alternative to actually going out and doing something.

Don't get me wrong, it certainly helps to keep you active, but I simply can't compare it to something like swimming, or having a selection of gym equipment at your disposal. To me anyway, that's what I class as "proper" exercise.

Was looking at getting Kinect, mainly just for Kinect games as I have a PS3 but would a 4GB 360 suffice or is it worth getting the 250GB?

I wouldn't use the 360 for anything besides gaming, which would be for Kinect games or Xbox exclusives.

Bigger hdd is for installing games and lowering load times and noise from discs. The slim is quieter but some games still make noise from the disc drive. Also if you're not worried about having music or videos on there then don't worry. But any DLC needs to be stored and if a DLC is 1gb then you've lost a chunk. But you can always buy the bigger hdd later on.

Been playing Kinect Adventures, me and a friend have missioned through and got all achievements apart from platinum. We decided to start using it to get a bit fitter, we know it isn't going to be the best thing to do however we usually play reflex ridge as it really gets the heart going!

Tempted to get a heart rate monitor to see how many calories i'm burning by doing so. I've heard you can burn 400/500 in an hour if you go for gold/platinum and don't stop, which is something we do regularly.

After a lot of sweating I got the Platinum achievement a week or so ago.

If you want to get fit try EA Sports Active 2 which comes with a heart monitor. Just make sure you've got quite a bit of room for all the floor exercises.

So tonight we decided to get some people over for a night in on the Kinect. After a bit of thought we decided it was a fantastic idea to make it into a drinking game with shots. We started off on Kinect Sports which was fairly easy going with teams drinking every round they lost, we then moved onto Kinect Adventures...

Splitting into two teams and each team nominates someone to do the challenge on reflex ridge, if they hit an obstacle the rest of their team has to drink. This ended up being lethal with more alcohol being consumed the worse people would get!

All in all a successful night on the Kinect :p

Anyone else have any stories like this?

Anyone got that new body and brain exercise game?

Yeah. I picked it up from Te*** as part of the 20% promotion for £23.

It's a bit of fun and the games / exercises work well but I'm not sure I'd recommend it. Also it's slightly too hard for my little girl because of the time limits so I'd not even recommend it for kids.

If you liked Brain Training on the DS then you'll know what to expect.

We picked up from the supermarket doing 20 % off as well. My 7 year old loves Kinect Adventures.

Got Dance Central now as well. He loves it, and the wife loves it as well. Can see this costing me a fortune as they're eyeing up Kinect Sports now !
