**** Official LG G4 Discussion Thread ****

G4 has awesome pictures

any seen SuperSaf's comparison with the s6? not much in it but the G4 mic when recording is poor.

only thing in my mind is LG's resale value, you reckon this model will hold the price?

How is the auto brightness for everyone else? Mine seems pretty aggressive to dim the display, but slow to raise the brightness. If I take the phone out of my pocket to answer a call, it takes a couple of seconds before the brightness is high enough form me to see the screen.

Yeah at first I though it was quite good then it ended up being too aggressive. I use a Lux Auto to control my brightness. Loads of options to set it up just the way you like.

Mines similar to what yours is, although most phones i've recently owned (nexus 5 and HTC M7) have been like that.

Screen on time has been consistently around 3hrs to 3:30hrs since i got it last wednesday. Although i am quite a heavy user with bluetooth streaming a lot of the time and syncing on, screen atleast 50% brightness at all time etc.

Here are few photos i've taken so far. All have been shot in auto mode, i do like manual mode but i need to spend more time with it.

Still to this day i can never seem to link pictures decently :confused::D

Sorry for the cluttered mass of pics.

This camera looks stunning! Shame about people getting screens with widely inaccurate calibration though.

I would be tempted to try this phone out but LG's software and update support.....

Is it quite a widespread issue? Its not a big deal to me to be honest but i can see why it would be a big negative for a few.

Last LG phone i had was a super low end touchscreen phone which wasnt even android back about 8 years ago :P

Haven't visited xda etc. but most of the reviewers/youtubers seem to have mixed opinions on the screen.

This wouldn't be an issue if google or/and manufacturers just implemented basic screen adjustment controls in their software though :(

Nexus! Where have you been hiding to? I'm sure someone put a screenshot of screen adjustment controls for this phone in this thread somewhere.

If you could stay up all night to test that it'd be smashing ;) How good/bad is the speaker? I'm intrigued as its obviously rear facing compared to the z3 at the front!

I kept the Missus up setting the phone to my liking which was bad enough. Had to be up early to get into work.

I've had a brief play and the phone seems ok, speaker isn't that bad and is loud but you can quite easily muffle it with your hand when you hold the phone.

It's certainly louder and bassier than the Z3.

Battery life - too early to tell. In the time I set up the phone it ate through the battery quite quickly and the phone heated up but that's to be expected. Will be using the phone as my daily driver from tomorrow. Will update you then.
