**** Official LG G4 Discussion Thread ****

After plain awful service from CPW, they have replaced my Nexus 5 with a G4 after them trying to fix it 4 times.
Gotta say I really like this phone, the screen looks amazing, very smooth operation and I can't wait till the drag race season kicks off next year so I can shoot a load of slow mo :D

when is Marshmallow coming to it, or can I do that with rooting (I've never done that before!)

hmm seems to be a bit of conficting interest

Someone posted on hotuk where the deal was, They said they emailed smartfonestore and they only offer a 60 day warranty. Only exception is iphones which come with a 12 month manufacture warranty. Not sure how true this is.

That's for their normal graded handsets and the 12months in on the iphones they get refurbed directly from apple, the graded iphones also only come with 60 days

It was smartfonestore my brothers came from and to say they are useless is an understatement. They also claim that they are not a UK company so UK law does not apply even though they list a UK address...

I would steer well clear of them tbh they also sell imports and not UK models.

You can pick this phone up for £298 at the rainforest place, for me if it was £200 from smartfone then its a good deal, but when its so close in price why would you bother.

My G4 came today. It is a decent phone and definitely good value in comparison to the competition. I must admit though, it is pretty difficult to get excited about new phones these days. Every new flagship is just so incremental. It is tempting to switch platforms just for a bit of variety. I was tempted to buy an iphone but the idea of paying 100 quid extra for a respectable amount of memory is painful. Considering the price, the lack of a full hd screen on the normal sized iphone is almost unforgivable. Its a shame that windows phones are restricted apps wise and are generally crap aesthetically. I'd love to give them a go...

I love playing around with the manual camera settings when i get the chance...

2 seconds @ 200 ISO and tweaked slightly in snapseed

The image is a little muddy in the foreground but what do you expect for a picture taken in the pitch black, hand held with a 2 second expose? Pretty good i reckon!
