Yeah the camera is really something...right up your alley! I had to post about the camera first as that's what impressed me the most.
Yup the camera on this is extremely tempting....
How you finding the screen compared to oled?
The screen from first impressions is nice. Super sharp, bright and colourful. Good viewing angles.
Dig a little deeper and I noticed the screen is quite cold temp wise. PhoneArena measured ~8000k when it should be 6500K. Also the colours are far from calibrated, reds looks pinkish and all the colours are over saturated. I noticed the reds straight away from the YouTube app. Looked way off hue wise. EDIT - The blue's and green's look better than the reds.
I wouldn't mind so much if they had display modes like Samsung but here there is no basic mode. This is a bit like vivid mode on Samsung. For the average Joe though, I don't think they would care much for the accuracy of the colours.
In terms of comparing it to the strengths of OLED, i.e. blacks, this is typical LCD. Blacks are dark grey and you get contrast shift if you look for it.

Yeah there does seem to be conflicting reports on the screen, some say it is amazing, others think it is a bit poor, perhaps we have 2 suppliers for the screen.
It is shocking how no phone allows us control of the contrast and gamma, such a basic feature yet no one gives us it?! Although I think the z3 has some control??

In its own right the screen is great for an LCD. It's just not colour accurate. Not even close.
As a side note, mine has excellent uniformity. No light bleed or blotchiness. Good job there LG. I also think LG is the sole supplier of the screen, it's just different people's opinions that vary. You can't argue with science.

Looks like you're getting on well with it kona. Glad the display is nice and uniform: those kind-of things drive me crazy!

How are you finding the G4 experience compared to the Nexus kona?
I will have some more feedback tommorow as I've been at work this last 4 days.
The quick answer is I prefer the Nexus 6 by quite a margin. The camera and sd slot are the 2 things I envy form the G4. The Camera is real joy to use.

Yes definitely. Also the colours and white balance are quite off. While I don't mind over saturated colours to a degree, this has colours that are off in hue...reds in particular I notice. And the white balance is far too cold and blue, really not nice. DCI standard my ass.
