It means you don't die when you go through the Relay. Bioware have said that crew members can and will die permanently if you don't prepare, including you, and thats gameover.

Anyone know how this would run on my laptop? Specs are 2ghz dual, 4gb ram, 8600m gt ddr2. I'll probably run it at 1280x800 or maybe less.

Yes, 1280x800 with the defaults. I didn't alter any settings except the resolution.
Well, played tonight without FRAPS and its not crashed once. Thanks for the tip, very happy now and really enjoying the game.

It's very basic. There are not a lot of options to change - I think I've just got dynamic shadows off. That's all.
Errm am I missing something? Who the heck is Zaeed? Playing through second time and don't remember seeing him, let along having him on your squad. Exactly who can join your squad other than Legion, Tali, Sumara, Mordin, Garrus, Grunt, Miranda, Jacob, Jack and Thane?
He's an additional character that you get as DLC from the Cerberus Network. You download the file from BioWare's site and then when you run ME2, he'll be ready for you to recruit in Omega.

No problemo, crashes again for me tonight, shut down FRAPS, no more crashes.
How did you buy ME2? There's a leaflet bundled in the boxed copy that tells you to sign up to the 'Cerberus Network' to download him. Unless you're a filth pirate of course
i hated him, he just rants on and on - couldnt get him to shut up. in the end he was like a stoaway on my ship, i dint use him for missions and didnt go see him as he did my head in
yes, but first was better, so i would play that one and it should be cheaper too. once you do 1 you can always play 2
Have been playing this for about 4 hours now. I loved ME1 and I couldn't stop playing it till I finished it but somehow ME2 feels different. It doesn't have the awesomeness feeling anymore even though everything seems to be improved, especially the cover system, I think something must be wrong with me or this could be my recent Fallout 3 discovery which was a superb game.
I have a bone to pick with that. Can't they use the same cover system as GOW, where they basically shoot blind over the wall? I'm not sure whether the first one had it, but i can't do it in this one with my pistols.
I felt like that until you meet the new baddies. Then I was just in awe for the rest of the story.
