You need to get to a certain point in the games plot for the option to open up. I wondered the same thing, then did one of the major plot centric missions and all of a sudden she was more interested.

cant argue that it feels much less of an rpg now, by huge i mean in the scope of places to visit, the original game only had the citadel as a landable station, the codex detailed all these places such as tuchanka and the migrant fleet but I was always disapointed to not be able to visit them in the first game, the ME books also have a lot of information about omega and jump zero. To me its great to see and visit all these places in the sequel and because they are focused smaller areas the detail within them make them feel more alive, theres no doubt that the uncharted worlds from me1 where physically larger but they lacked any sort of content within them, they felt empty and void of character,

I had a message from a Volus asking me to help him move a large quantity of Credits that have been left to him, all he needed was my account details to confirm the transfer :D

What is with the random 'Choose Specialisation' during 1 mission. Theres no reason that it was limited. If the pile of weapons on the floor... why not let you take them all?

Either way, i took the Widow Sniper Rifle. Damn its powerful, only carries 13 single-shot rounds but combine a 70% time dilation Adren Burst and certain armoured enemies... its like headshotting fish in a block of ice.
 
argh I was thinking of buying ME2 on Steam last night but I just couldn't hit that buy button :(

Bioshock 2 is out next week (hopeing I get it delivered a bit early :) ) and I am going to want to play that. Then not long after that FFXIII is out and that is going to take a fair bit of my gaming time up. Not to mention playing a bit of WoW every now and then.

Grrr I think I am going to be resillient and hold off for a bit and see if it goes down in price a bit. But reading bits on it and seeing all the nice pics in the hi def pic thread I just keep wanting to play it more and more :p


..... someone convince me to buy it when I get home !!! :p

I seem to get them whether running Fraps or not.

Moving powers around the shortcut keys has caused a CTD a few times

An awesome combo I've found is Zaeed and Melinda. Warp and Concussion shot rip through shields, and then I can charge people and shoot them in the head with incendiary ammo from the shotgun. I do get into trouble sometimes though as I have to run for cover, and believe me on Insanity mode you don't get much time to find it!
 
Just purchased this this morning and loving it so far alothough i'm finding it hard to get used to the combat.
 

Put it this way, your ship is able to dish out more damage and take less when it is attacked. That can only be a good thing no?
