You have extra resources (money, elements) and paragon/renegade points when you import.
Righty ho, I have ME2, and I'v never played it. I completed ME1 but it was on Xbox 360, and naturally I'm a bit gutted I can't carry over my character. Does this really matter? Am I missing out at all?
Well you could get ME1 for the PC (very cheap now), if you want to replay and carry over a save.

If you were dead set on importing the save, why didn't you buy the 360 version of 2 then? It's the same price as the PC version at most stores
I suppose the controls and graphics are better as well as modding possibilities, but for the most part they play the same.

EA are one of my accounts at work and they give me free games, this time around it was a ME2 download code.
