*** Official Mass Effect 2 Thread ***

Same thing happened to me, I needed like an extra 5k xp so I just used the good old givexp command in the console.
This is after 3 play throughs with the same character btw, so its not like I wasnt trying.

I'm still plugging my way through it again, I really wish I kept the saves from my first shot. For what it's worth I'll be getting to level 60 before ME2.

Im on lvl 59 with not much more to go to 60.

On insane going for a best playthough ready for ME2, I want all the early bonuses that ME2 may offer :)

HELP! Im stuck again. OK so im trapped in a underground gave after picking up a data module from a downed sat'. Ive been pinned & keep drying. It says ive got 5 med packs but my player only ever uses one ......then thats it. i press F and nothing happens.

Ahhh when will Steam pricing be up!!!

Also is the digital deluxe version got the same features as the physical CE?

ps3ud0

Ok, so im on the ending but im totally stuck on Saren. Ive got its/his movements totally figured out but i cant take the health off him. Soon as my A.I die he just jumps around the room in a series of predictable moves but not long enough for me to do damage.

Ive maxed my character. He's all guns no bs mavity magic.

Any tips?

You got a biotic with you? Pause the game each time he jumps so you can keep up with him and hit him with lift and singularity. That keeps him shut down.

He does little damage if you move around and avoid his rockets, so just wear him down.

Make sure you use your soldier's biotic powers such as the overkill, shield regen, cooldown, unity, etc. They can help immensely.

Im a Soldier class so. .. . . . . .I got one third of its health down, went to a short cut scene then carried on but then i died. Already getting tedious so may give it a rest. The other one's had a stratagy to killing them, cant say the same for this one.

Strange, I had absolutely no trouble with Saren as a soldier mate - cant think of anything to help you, I just mean it was literally no trouble for me, no worse than any other boss fight.

You have a team right? If you didn't balance it with at least some Tech/Biotic powers then really you only have yourself to blame. His hopping around gets a little annoying at times but he really isn't that hard to kill.

I doubt Valve is to blame... they probably just haven't told them.

We're far too close to release date now. I've gotta finish up with Armored Princess (terrible name, awesome game) and run through the PC ME a few times before then - I played it to death on 360, but I had to pick up the PC version in preparation for ME2. There's no way I can buy it on 360 now I've got my new build. I don't think I'll have time to play through Vampire until after ME2 now, and who know's what'll come out before then?

Hmm, steam DDE price = physical CE price.
The only thing I would like in physical form is the comic, but that can be had for a few pounds on its own. Same goes for the soundtrack. Weighing up those options, I think I'll cancel my CE preorder and just buy on steam.

Edit: yeah, just cancelled CE preorder and have gone for the DDE on steam.

I bought the DDE version from the EAstore using the VoucherCodes.com25% money off voucher taking it from £44.99 to £33.74.

Surprised the code still works used to ages ago from my Dragon Age: Origins preorder.

pre-ordered!

Currently playing through ME1 again, which is a bit of a grind, to get the savegame and to remind me of the story. I actually already had a savegame from my first play through (2008) but decided I didn't like the character/plot choices I made.
First character was a soldier, second is a vanguard which is a lot more fun. Cheated my way to level 60 as you can't bring your previous rank over to a new character. I don't know if it's worth playing through again as I get the feeling you will be able to make the same plot decisions at the beginning of ME2. There are some videos on youtube for people who want a relatively quick reminder of what happend in the first.
