Definitely going to save before getting to the end. Don't want to lose anyone this time. Going to research everything and get full loyalty!

Hopefully we will still have our team in ME3.

Personally id prefer it if they booted some of the less interesting members out and we got wrex or ashley/kaiden back(purely because my shep stayed loyal to ashley and didnt hump everything in sight). Thats what i would like, i dont think we will get wrex and ashley/kaiden back.

Whatever happens im sure me1+2 characters will get appearances in the third.

Yeah, I think most of the party will disband in order to co-ordinate their own races battle against the Reapers and have just cameo appearances. I guess Miranda and Jacob will stay (if they are still alive).

Theres too many variables. Pretty much everything major you did in ME1 was swept under the rug. Saving the Rachni Queen translated literally to a single encounter with a posessed asari on Illium and other examples like that. Now its possible in some sort of final battle if you saved the Rachni Queen she will join you in the fight, but you wonder how much of a role they will ever play.

Now in ME2 its got even worse. You could blow up the Geth station or you might not. Each individual member of your crew could die or they could not. And all the other encounters big or small you had a decision to make.

The only 2 crew members you can guarantee will be back are Tali and Garrus and even then thats gonna be very awkward if you got them killed. The majority of them were paid mercenaries for that trip only so won't be rejoining you. Mordin is almost certainly going to be conducting science experiments somewhere so perhaps saving him means you get a small upgrade or it could just be a pure cameo.

Has there ever been any other games that carry over variables from the first to affect gameplay in the second a la Mass Effect?

Not that i can think of off the top of my head. They could easily leave the game feeling hollow if they don't take account of enough choices and give alternative dialogue.

Thank You all for offers, I will contact some of you guys via TRUST (please give me a time) and still looking most of the stuff!

As to PSU - for now I don't need one,

thank You!

Hrm I'm tempted to have another run through ME2, with a Female protagonist this time. Not sure if I should force myself to play through the clunkiness of ME1 beforehand this time though...

It always sounds like a good idea to load up ME and play through before hand... maybe next time i do it i should just not try and do side quests and get on with it. A lot less tedious if you avoid planet hopping though you miss out on lots of exp and sidequests.

I would stick to the easy quests that you can start and finish in the same location without having to go back to the ship and galaxy map. And always do the Luna VI mission so you get your specialist skill. :)

Well that 1s a given. Too many small quests to remember though, especially which 1s have impacts on ME2.

Pretty good DLC Shadow Broker, though the first boss has an absolutely ridiculous amount of health, armour and barrier. Must've taken at least 30 headshots with the Mantis, almost worth waiting till you get the Widow for that extra kick.

Did anyone ever take the Revenant Assault Rifle from the Collector Ship when they played Soldier? Wondering what they thought of it since the first time i took the Widow.

I took it - can't remember the Widow though. I like the Revenant Assault rifle for the ammount of ammo, but it is so inaccurate. I use it, but actually prefer the DLC assault rifle since it is super accurate and packs a punch. Unfortunately, it runs out of ammo all the time.

Loving the DLC Shadow Broker - it is some of the best DLC I have played.

You can't remember the Widow? :o First time i played through the choice was between a Shotgun i rarely used, an AR that i wasn't sure seemed any better than the ones i was using and a Sniper Rifle that just sounded like something i wanted to keep at hand for its pure awesomeness. Widow won hands down.

I was having a look at the wiki about it. It did sound like it could pack a punch if you were using adren rush frequently, especailly vs certain enemies that like to close in, but what with the Firepower Pack and the Mattock battle rifle... a high damage semi-auto assault rifle. Problem is getting a balance between weapons since the Revenant really fulfils the 'surpression fire' criteria nicely. I'll have to see how the Mattock goes when i play through Soldier again, though first i've gotta finish this Infiltrator playthrough.
