Hi All,
Sorry been a crazy few months and i have been way out of touch.
So i have work to do and some things to catch up on for Minecraft.
My plan is that over the comming weeks to update what needs updating and to have a team in place to help with it all.
I will be putting time into each server and it's setup for everyone.
So first is a plan of action.
1. Vanilla Server.
--- Update
--- Setup whitleist system properly to fit with the new system we have deployed for the mod server
--- Create a Vanilla server team. This tema is to be made up of 2/4 players. 2 to be whitelister 2 to be moderators. (This is just an idea suggestions welcome.)
--- This server will have very little modification do to it IF any.
--- Web page for Vanilla server with any suggestions from players.
--- Any mods wanted by players you may make a suggestion.
I dont want to mess with what the Vanilla player want regards experience for minecraft. So there will be very little modification done on this setup. The modification will really only be with server controls for Admins like roll back and whitelist powers.
Players please use the FT site to post idea regards the Server and for anyone wishing to apply for the positions mentioned above.

SERVER UPDATED
I have updated the server to 1.7.9 (bukkit is not on 1.7.10 beta yet). I have also decided that since there was so few applications for the positions posted that there will be only 2 moderators. Ham and dub will be helping with whitelisting and modding the server.
I have been looking at the world and have to say there are some impressive builds out there. So I have decided in preparation for the upgrade for 1.8 I am going to start working on building moves from old world to current world map. This will require players marking out their locations so I can do some test moves. If you have a very large build it will be moved in parts so as not to strain the server. There is currently no dead line for the build move but I will start soon once a build is moved from old world to new world the one on old world will be removed.
Once we have build moves completed and we update to 1.8 I will speak with the mods and see what we can do regards events.
Regards the online chat this is being looking into to have it working on the website again. We have a mumble server also running for voice chat. Details are on the linktart.co.uk website
Donation store. The idea here is to have it help support server costs and to re-invest into the server for more resources to make MC run more smoothly. This would also help regards adding YouTube channels for players to post too on the web site.

that depends on how fast the plugins gets update for 1.8
but as soon as we have them ready to go then yes we will look at updatig it

.And thanks Yrthilian for updating the server and for making me a Mod, i'll do my best and start learning commands (worldedit looks fun).
Also worth pointing out the new donation shop on the server /buy will bring up an inventory screen where you can purchase with real money either a £1, £5 or £10 one off donation, once selected a link will appear which you can click within the chat box (T) and you will be taken via your web browser to a page where you can complete the transaction. ^_^ I'll let Yrthilian confirm but you will also get a Donator tag on the server, Yrthilian is it all up and running?

amazing what you can do when off work sick If you donate you will get a Donator tag in front of your name. it come in 3 diffrent colours too!The Donator tag last for 30 days but i am thinking of making it a perm tag. What you all think?
the whitelist is gone it is now all perm's based.
much easer to manage too so anyone can join the server but you wont be able to build or mine untill a mod promotes you to builder status. This allows people to join and take a look around if they want to stay they can be promoted (I hope they will stay and build)As already mentioned you can use the 1.7.10 client to connect to the server. I tested this and it works fine. This allows the minimap players to have it. I also suggest journymap This also give you a web page run localy from your system. At first use you may find your system a little laggy while the map is copied to your system. There is pleanty of option in ot too like waypoints and map saving.
Just a quickie regarding the Vanilla server - if you could take a few minutes to vote for the Van server it will increase the chance of getting more players on board.

Just a quick update - I've moved the enderfarm into the new end. You can access it via the new nether - enter the nether portal and follow the signs. All your existing gear has been moved too. The old farm is mostly removed, but I've left a few signs and the floor in there in the remote possibility a player logged out in it! If anyone sees an issue I've missed, let me know ta.
If anyone fancies roofing the path in the nether that leads to the end portal, then feel free!!

Can't see why non spawn players would object anyway, its showing off what's on the server that's the main thing... as a non spawn builder I say post away.
