*** Official OcUK Modded Minecraft + Vanilla Server - Now with guides and how to's***

Hey hey - Dubs and I are making good progress on the new gold-farm, but we need more mats. The stuff we really need are:

String 50 Stacks
Cactus 31 stacks
Gates 10 stacks
Halfslabs - All of them in the world please - stone preferred so we can make as we need

Most of the other gear we've managed to get between the two of us by either using our stores of gear or afking at various farms.

If you want to donate any stuff on the list (hoppers and iron excluded lol) then please do - especially string and cactus.

A big thanks to Alex who has donated some stuff. Cheers Alex.

Two pads now done with killing floors. We've also done a flesh disposer and item sorter and elevator up to the afk point.

There is a minute possibility a ghast could spawn at the afk point, but it's encased in glass and won't see you anyway. Rates seem to be favourable - the pic below is one hour afk



Not too shabby I'm sure you'll agree. It will only increase with the addition of two more pads.

Here's a pic of it so far - two more pads at either end to go!!!



Like I said, feel free to donate mats and big thanks once again to Alex who has been the only other player to donate mats :)
 
Asses - need to work on the hopper elevator - it's getting clogged :/

Edit - **** - it's all going wrong - I'll look in the morning :/

using zombie pig men spawners?
cant quite see how its working, there falling on to the cactus?.. will see if i can get on to the server a spectator and have a look over he week.

There are no spawners, mobs will spawn when there is an area for them to. Ie in the overworld mobs spawn at night anywhere they want.

This works by being above the nether (follow the signs to get there) and we have made the only spawnable area. The mobs spawn on a big platform which is triggered by tripwire which moves the floor and they fall through, pigmen fall and die and magma cube fall onto the floor surrounded by cactus they then walk into the cactus and die. The ghast get trapped in a trap above the spawn floor.

Where the pigmen, magma, and ghast fall is a halfslab covered hopper collection floor. This is then moved via hopper to the sorting and collection area.

So all of that basically currently x2 and once finished x4 :-)

Thanks, see above for drop off point. There is a auto tree farm but it currently at Ham's new old server build, it will get remade in this world at some point, or feel free to build one yourself near spawn?

couldnt get on to the server. must need white listing to get on i guess.

you've a world anchor in the middle? or do you need to stay close to the area for the spawning to and gold mining to happen?
 
Ok I have now got Mine craft and what exactly do I have to do to join you guys? I have played single player and found it fun but challenging at the same time all i want to do is now play with some one..

the admins are quite busy so you may no receive a quick response to a whitelist request.

also you pobably want to have a think about which server you want to join.
the Vanilla or one of the modded ones.
 
running this again at home, latest version as the father in law and brother in law have got into it.

I've dabbled but not spent a lot of time. We're thinking of setting up a little home server for us.

Any decent mods we should be looking at? Father in law loves things like train simulators etc so technical ones would be great :)
