!!**Official RAGE Thread**!!

But that's on an Ati card with poor anti-aliasing and at a low resolution.
I totally agree with your sentiment, Hotwired, but unless you you have a working driver you are boned anyway.

Motion sickness is usually caused by low fov. Set it to 90-110. The smooth frame rate makes it worse too.

I have my FOV set to 90, but can still only play for 1-2 hours before getting a bad head. Running inside stairwells is my real nemesis, makes me want to throw up.

In a way though it's good, as it means I spread the game out for longer. :) May try 95 - 100 on the FOV and see if it's any better.

I also get this for the first 10mins or so, feeling really uneasy which doesn't really happen to me with games much.

First time I played I had to turn it off after about 10-15 minutes as my eyes were starting to feel strained. Second time felt a little off for a while but since then I've been more or less ok.

metro was like that for me, loved that game but never got round to finishing it even with the fov adjusted i still felt off..

hope rage dont do that to me

ive set mine to 90 and its a good improvement.

Im still trying to get it running at 60fps constant, when ever im stood still it is at 60 but then i move and it goes down to around 30, would that have anything todo with vsync?

Well I'm loving this game so far tbh I've racked up about 7-8hours so far.

Here's a screeny of the the big thing I just killed

My graphic settings are not that high :( but I am still enjoying it.
I also not long found out you can take screenshots by steam and upload it to your account :D so I have been taking a few screenshots.

See my steam ID: adsta2104 or adsta2104 screenshot page

add me as friend too if you like :p

I don't follow you.

That picture was at 8x AA.

Here's a larger one also at 8x AA:

It runs at 60fps almost all the time at that resolution and AA level, the corruption is the issue.

The latest drivers for this card are being used, an earlier driver refused to even let the game start.

Look at the jagged lines on the edge all of the polys. 8x AA? It's not working, surely?
The overall texture and image quality seems bad here to me. Dodgy driver or some weird settings perhaps? I have seen some fingers pointed at the Catalyst AI feature causing bugs for some cards.

how do you take screen shots through steam ? is it just same as pressing print screen ?

The default is f12, I have mine bound to my G12 button on my G19 because its easier to press during fights and such.

Any pictures will automatically be saved into a screenshot folder so when you close the game you will have a window with the pictures. You can then browse through them and delete or upload to the steam cloud :)

Edit: Im glad my game doesnt look like Hotwired's :p

just put these into the config file and its made the texture pop dispear.

just need to sort out why the fps goes down only when i move maybe the ati driver, liking the game so far only just got my buggy but its got a lot of good things going for it.
