I'll try that if I can get the game to stop crashing.

I need some assistance from more tech savy folk!

I upgraded to the new Rage driver but it's now crashing constantly, so I removed it, rebooted to safemode, removed the device and driver, restarted and re-installed the Rage driver.

Oddly it doesn't ask me to reboot?

Does anyone know is the Rage driver an additional fix to place on top of the older 11.8 CAT i.e. do I install that first?

The rage driver has specific openGL files, use the cat + the rage one. Not either or.

Install 11.8 then Rage driver.

Has the dust settled yet or are people still shouting console port from the hilltops?

You're still getting the contents of the collectors edition though, it's just called something different on your invoice.

Why would they charge you a cheaper price than agreed when they haven't removed anything from the product?

Simple question, being a steamworks game, how do i go about doing this - Add cd keys, tell it to download, stop close steam and then install from disc to that steam folder? or have i got it wrong.

Wouldn't waiting for it to turn up and then complaining because they billed you wrong of been a better option than cancelling it immediately? Just in case you got the wrong idea.

KnightStalker, just whack the disk in and follow the autoplay instructions.

If you're getting problems, have a look at the FAQ, it's got a work around for installing from disk.

Ah..im over complicating things then lol, its been donkeys years since i bought a disc game hehe

Aye i got 3 emails, all saying the same thing - Often get it from other places too, and ive had it from OcUK too.

I can see why this game makes some people ill, even watching the trailer makes me feel a little bit off.. The character seems to sway left and right when you walk

It's rare but motion sickness will be caused by super choppy frame rate and vertical tearing.

Valve's Source engine is prone to tearing and as such many users can't play HL2 or any source engine games, without V-sync.

Or just too much movement of the first person camera.

i been playing games for last 21 years and ive never heard of anyone i know ever suffering from it

must be really rare! is it the same kinda sickness u get from traveling?

Maybe, just don't like being messed around. Done now.
I'll wait for the Steam Christmas sale and pick it up for a £5.

It's not like I have plenty of free time and no games to play.

I've never experienced any problems before but the tearing definitely has a negative effect on me, after an hour of play my eyes feel hot ... hard to describe, but not like I've felt before. I can live with it, just feels very odd and not something I'm familiar with.

Probably AIDs.

Or probably because I always use vsync and the game won't let me?

No idea what the actual feeling feels like because I don't suffer from it but I've known people to get headaches or just general stomach ache because of it.

I couldn't play HL for that very reason. Made me feel extremly sick. Dead Space was another game.
