Yeah - definitely better than GT5 graphics.
Just a shame I can't run at 1080p with antialiasing... it's either 1920x1080 with no AA or 1360x768 with 8xAA... I actually prefer the latter, which is unusual.
Need Kepler out, or more efficient coding of the graphics engine...

how do you save yours as the file type you need???
it didnt work the same way i did marcs...
Save the setup with a name, go into the folder and there should be a file with the setup name as the file type .svn.

That looks nothing like GT5 quality. Sure it looks fantastic but I can't help but feel it lacks a lot of shaders. rFactor 2 still feels the same as rFactor with that strange matte feeling everywhere. It always felt like a cold looking game.
rFactor's cars don't feel like they look like real cars, I mean when you look at GT5 there's this solid feel/heaviness to the bodywork. Like as if you can physically touch it/feeling the thickness to the cars paintwork.
rFactor's cars always look as if they feel ridiculously light as if you can punch through the doors. It doesn't there because the showroom lighting and shadows adds and helps the heaviness look to the car but in game they've always looked terribly light.
Those disc brakes are gorgeous though!
Play rfactor 2 at night with full AA ad HDR at 1920x1080. In the rain as well. Im sure you will disagree. Also use some FXAA Injections, apparently they work in rfactor 2

it is a hardcore sim, it as all the physics/extras a sim needs from deforming tyres, to track conditions to fully moving suspension parts. What more do you need ?

My server's up (24/7 dedi on a 100/10 connection - so should be lag free with a full server).

I've got it running on a client machine in a back room, so should only go down if Virgin have a fit
Currently on Meganes at Mills with "scripted" weather, so we'll see what that does.
Will be switching to all cars/tracks when I can figure out how - trying to sort through the forums - but not having much luck figuring this out... It would be nice to switch around cars a bit - Megane is good, but some variety can be nice.
Please let me know if you have any trouble connecting, the correct ports are forwarded and the firewall on the client pc is disabled - so should be ok, but i've been hearing about people with trouble.
