****Official rFactor 2 Thread****

So when in an online practise session. best to just hang back for a bit and let others warm up the track for u and then do at least 10 laps?

no. its best to go out there, learn the track as much as possible even when it has no grip. Im a fast driver, i dont wait for others to go warm the track up for me. Im still like to attempt a fast lap on a slippery circuit. Also you need your tyres warmed up, so if your out there warming the track up, your warming your tyres up at the same time.

How many laps does it take to warm up tyres?

Been messing around with the Formula Renault 3.5 on Malaysia this evening, tweaking the car and a bit of learning the track and i've knocked 5s off my best times from yesterday! And that's still making mistakes... when I finally hook up a good lap I think I'll be on to a 1:47 :D

Still quite a bit of tweaking to be made to the car too, will post it up when I'm a bit more happy with it.

Any ideas how this would run on my PC?

Q6700 @ STD clock speed
4gb ram
ATI 4890 1gb @ STD Clock speeds
Win 7 32bit (yeah yeah I know)

And at what details could I max it out?

Thanks

So the game costs £30 unless you want lifetime online membership, which is £56. What happens if for now I just pay £30 to try it out but wish to 'upgrade' in the future, will I have to fork out the whole £56 or just the difference (£26?)

I'm rather new to Sim Racing (having come from GRID/DiRT/F1) but I do enjoy the harshness of it over arcade racing!
