*** Official Ryzen Owners Thread ***

Just recieved my CH6 Motherboard, have my Ram and M2 SSD ready to go, just need to buy the CPU and cooler plus a new case and will transplant my old rig to the new case for the kids and put my Ryzen into my Enthoo Primo :)

New bios hasn't allowed me to hit 3600 stable but has allowed me to get 3466 CL14 down from CL16.
There is now a safe post mode that comes in after a failed OC whereas before it would continually boot loop until i cleared CMOS.

New Bios looking good so far, was able to do the following:

1. Load optimized defaults reboot
2. Flash new Bios
3. Set DCOP Standard
4 . Reboot straight to windows

Never been able to do the above before, always had to play around with timings, procdt and set DRAM boot voltage.. Now i just select profile and it boots...

I have 2x16GB Hynix Ram, use to have to use 1.49 DRAM boot voltage..

What's wrong with them?

One is in perma rainbow mode. Can't get any control over it. The other goes dark when I fire up the software. I can reset it to rainbow and turn it on and off but not customise it. I have reset to rainbow and disabled the service so now I have two rainbow sticks. Which is better than nothing but annoying.

Semi budget upgrade! I dont care what it looks like inside :) it does have a 960 evo 250gb ssd on the board and decent ram though. Cooler is cheap but performance is brilliant and the boards running my ram at 3466 on a beta bios. chips at 3.85 with lowish volts. I havent had time to find its max yet due to work but its solid, stable and a LOT faster than my old 2500k at 4.2 :)

damnit dont know how to get the pic to show from imgur!

Mine are permanently in rainbow because I've not got the patience to RMA another set lol

Use tinypic.

You know, I am becoming skeptical of using occt linpack avx and tpu memtest for testing.

Something about those two tests causes the system to lock up for long periods of time (also experienced by others on oc.net).

Prime95 uses avx and does not cause these lock-ups on small fft's.

And HCI memtest does not cause lock-ups like tpu memtest.

I am sure it was these lockups ultimately responsible for display cut-outs I have epxerienced a lot of (and know someone else has seen this on oc.net), but I suspect that is in combination with nvidia drivers.

Upping the SOC seems to help immensely with display cut-outs. but I am running on 1.2v, which is higher than I'd like.

I've experienced the same, but always rectified with more voltage/higher LLC. Now I never get the intermittent lag/freeze on full load.
HCI, TPU, Prime and RealBench all good for hours.

your system is still responsive running tpu memtest?

How long do you run it for our of curiosity?
