*** Official Ryzen Owners Thread ***

seems like the second i try 3200 in advanced frequency settings i get F9 on the led display and get boot looped. in the advanced memory settings it seems like it ignores the divider there in favor of the other tab

CH6? If so try 2666 with bclk adjustments.

Ye Asus Zen States is freaking fantastic !!!! finally got downclocking option ect :) since as soon as i cahnge p01 and p02 system wont boot with code 56 no fix for now :/

So just complete my ryzen build! after a few horror stories on mobos and ram i was expecting a nightmare... BUT, literally, put everything together, Installed windows, updated the bios. Not a single issue...

The CPU temp does weird me out a little being 48/50 deg idle... but i trusting this is this 20% offset.

This is the Gigabyte AX-370 gaming 5
corsair vengeance

Oh nice. Think yourself lucky that xmp works for you!

Hi, I think my Ryzen 1700 is broken :( DAM !

I was talking the CPU (Which I never do) to clean off the thermal paste and then put an AIO cooler on it but when I pull the lever out the CPU drop on my GPU and now it looks as there are 2 pins that have bent a bit. I am really finding it hard to push it back and I don't want to put too much force onto it.

I was going to ask do I have the warranty still or also will I be able to get it fixed by anyone.

Thanks

damn shame that's for sure, i have used a debit card in the past to straighten bent pins on a amd cpu in the past with success..

You did that with the case vertical? Ouch! Youtube should have some videos on how others have done it.

It's probably been answered before but what power plan is preferred, Ryzen balanced or high performance?

You need to run programs and see for yourself, its seems to be a mixed bag with only a bit of variation. CB for me is exactly the same but others may be different.

Picy and lets have a look !

I think normally you won't see any difference. I want to believe that AMD knows that they are doing:)
I had previously performance plan with 5% min CPU, 100% core parking, AMD plan (by default) has 90% min CPU state. You won't see in monitoring software downclocking but it doesn't matter, AMD is doing it in the background. From the socket, power draw during idle is the same for me ~63W (difference maybe 2-3W) so it does downclock, there is no point to tweak it.

Well said many times Lasso cpu process app and u dont give a ceap about power plans. I got full blast on selected programs on windows ryzen balanced if doing nothing for longer than 5s drops to power saving profile.
So got max blast and max power saving at same time boom.

Not to mention u can set up so many cool things in it!!!.

Well finally moved to NVMe and windows 10. Guess 6x read speed and 4x access time is a nice upgrade :]

Does process lasso need setting up each time you run a program or does it remember? Also what increases have you seen whilst using it?

Its permament replacement of windows cpu core management u can set whatever u want. One core/ peoces only logical cores priorites ect. Any power user should have it on multicore cpu im using it since x99.

And u sont have to **** about with this pathetic power plan situation.

Ah ok, and is there a default setting or does every process need setting up? First I've heard of this.
