Ah ok, and is there a default setting or does every process need setting up? First I've heard of this.
I dont do default. U think why it took me 12 hours to install system :D

Like i said this is for power users that like messing about with EVERYTHING
Basic is free. Premium wel depends if u are a limewire Pirate ;)

So just complete my ryzen build! after a few horror stories on mobos and ram i was expecting a nightmare... BUT, literally, put everything together, Installed windows, updated the bios. Not a single issue...

The CPU temp does weird me out a little being 48/50 deg idle... but i trusting this is this 20% offset.

This is the Gigabyte AX-370 gaming 5
corsair vengeance
1080ti

That sounds promising.

Can you please confirm the exact RAM that you are using, is it CMK16GX4M2B3200C16, and is it actually running at 3200 Mhz ?

Which CPU are you using, and have you overclocked it ?

This might be the upgrade that I choose (with a R5 1600).

The ram im using is. CMK16GX4M2B3200C16. Check screenshot. Also states same on the motherboard bios. Any other tests?

Looks good. Some people have no issue hitting 3200, others are stuck at 2666 using the same hardware. I think the IMC is to blame for this. Hopefully the May update can help a lot of people out.

I thought the MB and it's BIOS was the main factor when it comes to memory speed/compatibility. It still seems to be a bit of a lottery, and the hope that BIOS updates will sort any disappointed customers.

Gupsterg a user on here and OCN had same memory kit same motherboard and x2 1700's 1 could do 2933 the other could do 3200.
Plenty of users on the same bios same ram kit are getting mixed results.

Ram seems to be making a huge difference with ryzen, my 1700 could hit 4GHZ easy with kingston fury 2400 but with corsair vengeance led 3200 it runs full speed but can't get over 3.8ghz with the cpu

Same RAM for me, although I have 32GB installed and so far it will only reach 2933Mhz, which it runs fine at. I'm not sure whether or not this is going to be the limit for four sticks of this particular RAM, as sure, I have seen people hit 3200mhz with two sticks but so far haven't come across anyone posting a 3200mhz result for 32gb of Corsair LPX. Perhaps, because it's apparently Hynix, not Samsung, that is its limit for that capacity (on the CH6).

BCLK settings up to 140 have not helped but I haven't tried really, really loose timings yet (how loose is loose though, I tried around 25 25....?!)

Perhaps then, this much of this particular RAM will have to wait on the next AGESA...

You'll need to increase either or both, CPUSOC and DRAM. For example, i could not get 4.1Ghz stable without setting DRAM to 1.5v, CPUSOC made little difference in my scenario, but your mileage may vary.

my problem at the mo is finding time to play about with it but im happy enough at 3.8 and ram at 3200 to tide me over

Just got round to uploading images - I am now part of the Ryzen owners club! I have it clocked to 3.9 @1.35v at the moment, not pushed it any further yet. Probably going to replace the RAM with the Trident Z RGB on payday and send the Ripjaws V kit back as it can only run at 2133MHz, anything else and it won't boot. I know some of that is immaturity of the platform but the RGB stuff is at least QVL'd. Feels so snappy in the OS and it's like i'm playing games for the first time again, lovely stuff.

1700 @ 3.9
GTX 1080 FTW
16Gb Ripjaws V

Higher memory clocks increase the L2 interaction which makes life harder for the CPU, you should be able to dial the instability out, though

These are mine, unable to hit AVX stability with anything above 3.8 but you may have a better CPU. Have a look, see how yours are different. I should note this is 100% boot proof. This never fails.

These are mine, unable to hit AVX stability with anything above 3.8 but you may have a better CPU. Have a look, see how yours are different. I should note this is 100% boot proof. This never fails.
Thanks, I will have a play about when I have a bit of free time

Man, feels like I'm spending my life waiting for bios updates...

Come on Asus, want to get my ram a bit higher and have my chip clocking down at idle.

Strangely after first flashing to 0604, I was able to boot with ram at 2666. Won't any more.
