Anyone else find it odd that they keep changing the phone colours / don’t sync them with their other products?

Personally I’ve always gone for silver phone/watch/MBP/iMac and I have a leather case on my phone anyway… but we have the coloured 24” M1 iMacs at work and I can imagine if you were that way inclined, it would be nice for all your devices to match.

It just seems strange. Like, why release the forest green phone only to discontinue it straight away?

I’ve run out of space on my iPhone Xs and the max battery capacity is down to 80%, but with a house purchase going through and COL increases, I’m struggling to justify the upgrade.

I’ve also still got my S4 watch which is fine. I might see what the Vitality deals are like when they’re announced but I’ll probably stick with the 4 for now.

I wouldn't do this based on the fact EE will probably do a 10% increase in April next year, and this is on full contract price.

It certainly has potential. I’ll admit when it was first unveiled in the presentation I had MacBook Touchbar flashbacks!
IF they can really harness it then it should be a great idea. My only concern for early adopters is it is only supported by native iPhone apps at this stage.
I am sure the well known third party developers will get onto it pretty quickly but having some apps work with it and others not work would really irk me.

It could be worse, the colours could be exclusive to certain markets or sku’s like with some Android handsets.

Conversely, I guess if they released the same colours each time people would just say they were boring.

I think having the standard silver/starlight and grey/graphite (call them what you want) as standard is fine and then chop and change the accompanying colours.

The current one is horrible.

Not a fan of the pill either.

I do like they added an even brighter screen and better cam. Rest is meh.

USB-C next year will date this model pretty fast.

Can't wait for the reports of people dying because they let their SOS satellite subscription lapse and even though their device has that capability to save them built in.
 
I love the idea of the Ultra. Would be great to have a tough model to use for outdoor work, but the press models already had dings on it, which doesn't bode too well for how well it'll wear.

It's not just on video tests, there's nothing out there that beats the Pro Max on battery life.
 
I have pre ordered pre ordered the 14 Pro max 256gb! Paid outright option. Does this essentially guarantee you a phone on the pre order tomorrow? Dread to think if the website crashed?

You just need to join the melee at 1pm :D you'll always get a phone, you might just miss stock from the initial batch and so delivery time would slip past release day.
 
Has anyone pre ordered a second one in an alternative colour incase the above happens? As this theoretically saves 2 iphones in your saved pre orders then choose which to check out with depending on delivery dates?

With the 0% option you can change the colour before ordering tomorrow.
