*** Official September 7th Apple Event "Far Out" (18:00 BST) ***

With the new pricing, the 13 is £30 cheaper than my other half paid on release day last year. Not such a bargain!

Personally, I bought a Series 7 Steel watch a couple weeks ago with a 30 day returns period for £475. Considering the S8 steel is £779, I don’t think I’ll be swapping!

Yeah that's a good point. I will probably just carry on with my 11 unless there's any good refurb deals on the 13 in the future. In all honesty my sons iPhone 8 and wife's 2020 SE still would do everything I need from a phone. Anything more is just me wanting something new.

The watch I would always recommend waiting until the xmas sales start, as you get much longer to return. I did that last year so I could properly evaluate if a Apple Watch for me. It wasn't, in fact for me it was the most pointless bit of tech I ever bought. But that extended period gives you a good look. I wish I'd done the same with the iPad Pro!

No mini this time round, is it gone for good? I bought the 13 Mini last year as I'm not into huge phones and the extra cost of them (not looking to get a 14 but shame if there is no 15 Mini).

Well, I have done the Barclays preorder preorder. iPhone 14 Pro, 128GB in Black. Fairly content with that capacity - I have had my Pixel 5 for 2 years and that is the same capacity and I have only used 50%.

Regular pro staying the same size is great as it is broadly the same dimensions as the P5 which I like, if only a bit thicker.

Primarily getting an iPhone beause my BMW 5 series is a 2017 model and only supports Car Play...

Does the Watch normally drop in price so much? Tempted for a Series 8 for the first time, but that’s a crazy drop in value over the course of a year.

The Dynamic Island gimmick is very very good. Well done Apple.

Still very happy with my recently bought 13 Pro though given what it cost me overall so will just pick up a pair of the new AirPods Pro and see what kind of deals are about next year.

Have you got a link to the Barclays preorder preorder? (I looked but couldn't find ;) )

If you go through and select credit as the payment option you get the opportunity to recieve pre-approval from Barclays - just means you can check out quickly, with the loan, on Friday.

sticking with 12 pro, it's probably best to wait for a new design or something nowadays as all the modern models are so good it's all just incremental improvements

I'm wondering whether to pay monthly or up front. I'd be wanting Apple Care+. I'll likely keep the phone for 2 years.
Would you like a 20% code for EE? You'll need to do the maths to work out whether buying outright or contract is cheaper - remember Apple One is bundled with the full works plan. Shame you can't view the contracts yet.

I'm really hoping they'll offer a more minimalist AOD lockscreen, one that's just the time and widgets, no background, nothing. Would be an even bigger battery saver.

I'm eligible for 20% off with EE anyway, but as I'm an existing customer I'm not sure I can use it. I don't like to be tied into a company with a contract, I've been SIM free for the best part of 10 years.

Yep they work for existing customers including ones on SIMO contracts but yeah, not sure if you can use them on 30 day rolling ones.

Apple have excelled themselves this year. The iPhone 14 is even more identical to the previous model than usual. Even Steve Jobs daughter is poking fun at it :p

I am amazed people are still happy to throw the £1400 asking price at Apple every year.

Where do you get your code? This is what I see for mine:

THIS IS AN ONLINE OFFER FOR NEW CUSTOMERS ONLY AND CANNOT BE REDEEMED IN STORE OR OVER THE PHONE.

Yea they seem to want everyone to go for the Pro.
