******Official Star Citizen / Squadron 42 Thread******

I see for some reason 4.0 is under its own thing called preview, so should I copy the eptu folder and rename it 4.0_PREVIEW so I don't have to download it all again.

Well after all the good stuff that happened on the eptu today has been a little different.

I put in a landing request and I see the animation for the doors moving except that it appears to be doors exist behind the hangar doors.
So I thought maybe it's just a visual glitch and I can actually fly out. So I very gingerly move towards it and I appeared to get halfway out before it said collision alert and I magically appeared back in the spaceport in new Babbage.

Oh and my new little ship has a bed in it and also proper cargo bay you can walk in unlike the weird thing on the Mustang.

Edit. Oh apparently my ship is impounded. Come to make a cup of tea because I'm not paying 25% of my credits to get my ship back. And before anyone kindly offers I do not require any credits. Thank you. I am trying to just see how realistic/ unrealistic the grind is for ships etc.

Relogged, back in a hangar but someone elses ship was in there, watched them also trying to fly through a hangar door. Then I saw a player teleporting around. People offering lifts off NB as the hangars are broken.

Didn't realise I had a communal hangar. They also couldn't get out due to door issue, I blew them up just to see if it worked.

Unplayable so I'll try again in a few months.

Hangar doors can go invisble, be visible but not really there or act like jaws of doom and munch you up as you go through for the heck of it. Not sure why this bug is there but it's got many forms!

Well, first time I've been in a game with 30fps on the server side - was really smooth.

However, still had issues where the hangar lift was unresponsive, then gave me boxes I couldn't put down (or pick up anything else) before eventually working after going AFK for a few mins. Tried to leave the hangar, heard the door noise, but nothing happened - then they instantly opened, and started to close quckly. Managed to sqeeze through, fly to a planet, then after a few seconds glitched through the floor to my death :D Think I'll give it a bit longer until live, but the smoothness and responsiveness was a massive, massive improvement

Yea hangers were messed up and mission markers wasn't showing for me plus I was stuck in kelisher as elevators don't work there...

Anyone tried the Guardian / Qi yet?

It seems to tick a lot of boxes the Vanguard failed to do for me. More solo focused, lots of quality of life elements etc.

So... is it worth installing this and having a go :) ?
Nope !
No one wants to answer that question.
I have :p
Smooth 60+ but... yeah

We did tell you from the start to get a FULL CPU ! ;)

I got out this morning but sadly no missions showing, seems to be affecting many people though.

I usually getting myself put in prison each big update to see if they've improved it, tbh it was running a lot smoother even with 10x the number of bodies and NPCs around.

I'm currently stuck in prison without a way out as the elevator doesn't work lol

Ah well, other things to do !
I have a solution.

Change region servers and try to use the elevators each time. It will work eventually.

Don't do a character repair. That doesn't work.

I tried region change about 3 times before I landed on a server where the elevators work
