So how many people have got addicted and bought a fair few ships and then had a rethink and thought what's really the point?
If you could start again and just get 1 game package would you?
Interested to know what you guys have bought.
$220 invested, so far, which in todays £ is about £220 with Tax, this since about 2014.
I'm not one who must have every ship lined up in my hanger, not just because i can't afford it but i also think its pointless as you don't really have a use for many ships of the same type.
For me there are just two types of ship that i need, this for 3.0, Cargo and Fighting, there are several price bracket routs you can take with that.
Really inexpensive, sub £30 the Aurora LN is a potent little ship with enough Cargo capacity to get you started. its a good ship, i like it.
For about £45 the Avenger Titan is a step up from that in both aspects, its another ship i like.
After that ships start to get more specialised.
For combat the Gladius at about £85 is a dedicated light fighter.
At about £110 the Hornet F7C is a dedicated Medium Fighter.
At £200? the Sabre is an apex fighter.
For cargo the £110 Freelancer is a medium hauler, the Hull C a heavy hauler and the Hull D freight... and so on, they can get pretty big.
What i have right now is a Freelancer and just to fill a temporary gap an Avenger Titan, i say that because i do plan on spending a bit more money before 3.0, i'm keeping the Freelancer but the Avenger will get upgraded to a Buccaneer, which is a really good light fighter, i also have an F7C Hornet Medium Fighter but thats actually a loner from the game, its lent to me by the game because the Freelancer is too big to be used in Arena Commander, while i get to use it where and when ever i like, as if i own it, i don't own it, so i could lose it at any moment, while i have it loaned to me i don't need to buy it so i can buy the Buccaneer, if and when i do lose the Hornet i don't know which i will keep as my fighter, the Bucc or the Hornet, i like them both equally for different reasons.
Ah, one other thing, 3.0 will have explorable moons and the first planet, i will need a surface vehicle.... for that at about £40 the Dragonfly is like a hovering space bike that fits in my Freelancers cargo hold, but *
bites nails* the cost of a Freelancer and Dragonfly is not a whole lot less than a Constellation Aquila, which is a really nice ship and come with a really nice Rover, oh...... iiiigggg..... what do i doooo??????????
It, yeah, it can very quickly get out of control, i can certainly see how people with perhaps a little too much money to burn end up with a hunger full of ship they one day realise they don't actually need or even want.
