Yeah... it all gets a bit messed up.

Well, at least, seeing as I've not posted in any other similar games threads ie NMS, ED, EVE... guess I can't be classed as a troll lol .
So with that, pwnd...biatches!
To be fair though, I've not even joined or posted anything related to those games fan pages/websites. I mean, SC was the first to announce this type of game for ages, then ED came after, NMS later, so... I'm keeping it professional! grin. EVE is ancient, I was playing MMO's when that game was pretty much just an economy based game apparently.
 
I think ED is a decent game nothing more. I own SC and can freely express my opinion, this is not spectrum. You can post wherever you want Evo no one will class you as anything. Other game communities are not cults ;)

Well, random question that no-one knows the answer for time.

People who have multiple star citizen copies have been told they can turn those into NPCs / other players you can log onto.

What about those with multiple SQ42 copies? I'm hoping they will give us an extra chapter of SQ42 for each one, but maybe they will just mean nothing?

Not said anything, presumably they could be gifted to other people. The thing that does annoy me still a bit is there is still so much that’s still in the design phase like that.

Frontier was an established studio packed with an established, well optimised engine, developers that know the engine and the design principal of let’s release a galaxy and then spend years filling it out. CIG had an engine that wasn’t suitable at the start, a handful of people, and absolutely no idea of how much money they would get or how quickly it would come in, and the principal of let’s start small and expand with lots of detail and things to do. Both games and both developers and games have been heavily criticised, Frontier though, in my opinion, should be a hell of a lot further a long than they are, but so really should CIG.

They need it to maximise profit not to make it profitable, but remember most of these games which are then poorly ported to PC are MADE on PCs and in some cases even demo'd at gamecom etc using PCs hidden in compartments.

This is what annoys me about consoles. Not the consoles, not the console gamers, it's the companies who get it to console level then say "sod it that's good enough, now rush out a PC port". This means even with excellent game engines they are artificially limiting what we get because it costs more to develop it further for PC.

I genuinely want to see what a game that's build from the ground up on PC, for PC can do and I won't deny that being a kickstarter backer of ED I was disappointed in it after 6 months but ironically that was more to do with their handling of economy breaking bugs and exploits than the actual game.

I own ED Horizons, i know one or two others you have been speaking to in here do too, you don't see us in the ED thread trying to belittle them or you for playing that.

I think the vast majority of those frequenting the ED thread will be cringing at you comparing ED to this game and its user base in the way that you do just willing you to "please do shut-up" purely by your association.

Stop making it 'You and us' like a prat and frankly like an idiot with 'that' church mentality calling us a cult, really? :rolleyes:

Let me tell ya about ED its a toxic community full of griefers who enjoy exploiting the game beyond any new player to have fun. Simply put its Do not swear-schizo at its highest to compare the two. ED is fun for maybe 4-5hrs before reality kicks in and you see it for what it is.

Not sure why any of you bother replying to half of the people who keep returning to the thread exclusively to spout trash to kick up a fuss and run away. They're kids with flaming bags of poop. Ignore them or block them.
 
ED kickstarter pirate level backer. get all the dlc free. haven't played it in a couple of years since playing SC alpha. Not the game that I dislike, just enjoy the player interaction in SC more especially our community.

It completely baffles me how so many people don't realise that responding to trolls in any way other than totally ignoring them just encourages them.

Have you checked the ED thread or forums? They are full of complaints and criticism but nobody is calling people trolls or derek smart followers or goons. SC community has been labeled as a cult by many because it exhibits properties that are more related to a cult than a gaming community. Most of the time I compare the companies making ED and SC and not the games themselves (since SC is not a game yet) unless I'm replying to someone. Its impossible to not compare the two given their similarities.

I like how self entitled gamers are calling people that kill them on a pvp game griefers these days then wonder why we are surrounded by kiddie console games. How can you grief someone in ED when they can log out and switch to private group mode any time they want? As an eve online player I got only one thing to say: get gud or quit whining!
ED may be fun for 4-5 hours for you but there is evidence of people having a good time for hundreds of hours accompanied by good reviews. I have yet to see a video where people are actually having fun playing SC. Can you show me one? and no videos of people laughing at hilarious bugs do not count.

Elite is my most played game, although I mostly do solo or private group as when I've tried open I been interdicted by 3 anacondas and didn't have a hope in hell.

Backer of both and quite happy with both, I do think they are different animals though.
 
I was a pirate to start with but the wealth traders could get via certain routes in the first couple of weeks made it impossible to actually be a pirate.
found trading dull and combat at the time felt like a grind against ai
