Of course, not doubt there will be people who will not like it, no mater how good it will be or because some mechanics will not be as they'll wanted to be. I could be part of that crowd as well .
But right now at least they're trying.

You should know by now, you can't make jokes about the laughable development of this game without raising the ire of the Kool-Aid quaffers. Personally I've given up on ever seeing a finished game released, let alone one with all the feature that were promised, so my account will probably just sit there, unused, forever.

I haven't seen them change from the SQ42 is priority at all, you actually have any information on where they have suggested that the PU is being pushed ahead of SQ42 now? Also there might be a dozen people with some hefty salaries but for the most part they are rather under paid in the industry from all accounts. It has been brought up by previous devs as well as from people that have looked at applying to open roles.

great, all the SQ42 stuff we've been waiting years for as a backer is still not happening, but let's put time effort an resources into tourists. WTAF.

This is the entire plan for SQ42 waste time on meaningless garbage, so they never have to release a real game, it's at least 7 years late as it is.

It's the year 2030, they have raised $1Billion and have a staff of over 5,000. Yet some people still claim they are a small independent studio that doesn't have any resources. Still no sign of SQ42 as it will be ready when it's ready, don't fret though, they have been busy releasing new craft you can buy for £100,000...... can't fly them yet though, that's going to be another 5 years.

If you can find a quote where they have have ever said that the PU has been priority go ahead but the only line I have ever seen/read/heard has been that SQ42 is priority and that been case for at least 4 years.

And what has number of studios got to do with anything being discussed? This video shows their latest new studio being built up to expand out the universe. And it has a number of decent Ubi guys that have worked on some decent previous games.

They are expanding their German studio with a new office which is also good news, mostly it is the fact they been employing people whilst working from home and they can't fit their current staff in the current office but should also allow to expand that particular studio too. Those are good things. I am still unsure why you come here just to talk rubbish all over the thread and sulk. If you dislike it so much move on and at least let people discuss SC if they want.

This thread reminds me of the original Elite game - BBC v CBM 64 talk. With the SC fans being the BBC owners and the rest being the CBM 64 owners.
Whenever someone poo poo'd the BBC version you used to get comments just like this and they used to defend it to the hilt.
Although that was probably on Usenet as we didnt have "The Internet" back then.

The thing is these threads are meant to be about discussing a game, not coming in shouting about it being a scam and insulting people for liking something which is what for most of this whole thread has become making it pointless to try and actually discuss the game and where it is.

I actually enjoyed your joke and thought funny. It is people leaching off it and taking serious. Indeed very difficult to talk about SQ42 considering what we know. Unless anything specific wanting to be discussed from monthly report. The Gladius moving to gold standard is something since that is your ship in SQ42 but missing all the material database for proper physicalised materials. That from what said seems like it is at least a year out. Tbh that will likely be late 2022 at earliest I think we will see SQ42 Beta making that 10 years to develop. I don't think it will be half as good as everyone interested wants it to be or anything but still believe it will be a solid game.

Why does it have to an echo chamber of anything? Why can't it just be actually about discussing the game and where things are. That doesn't mean not being critical or negative over something and where the games are at and what is not working or missing. But again it isn't helpful or useful in any element to be insulting people and calling something a scam when it clearly doesn't work that way. It is the same thing when people use vapourware but clearly there is something there and things are moving forward.

But you can't have discussions here because people come in and just make everything a negative chamber when they just feel like sh***ing on other people for wanting to actually discuss the development and games even in their current state. And for the most part the people coming in stating and suggesting these things have not looked at anything to do with development or ignored significant amount of it to pick a view they want to ram down others throats because they are not happy with it. If they that unhappy just make a thread about it so they can have their own echo chamber of negativity about nothing to do with actual development.

So many contradictions. Just use the mute/ignore option if you don't want their opinion. They are behaving within the rules of the forum else would be moderated.
