I actually enjoyed your joke and thought funny. It is people leaching off it and taking serious. Indeed very difficult to talk about SQ42 considering what we know. Unless anything specific wanting to be discussed from monthly report. The Gladius moving to gold standard is something since that is your ship in SQ42 but missing all the material database for proper physicalised materials. That from what said seems like it is at least a year out. Tbh that will likely be late 2022 at earliest I think we will see SQ42 Beta making that 10 years to develop. I don't think it will be half as good as everyone interested wants it to be or anything but still believe it will be a solid game.

Just because they don't make a fancy tech demo video showing it or release a ptu test for it does have mean there's no progress or news.

Maybe more needs to be done on the forum?

For instance, the sports football section is very strict.

Go try and argue and call a club a scam etc etc and get into a heated debate with someone there. see how long you last.

ITs good there whilst in here, anything goes besides the usual swearing/insult but you dont need to use swear words/be racist in order to ruin and troll a thread.

There is many ways to cause arguments etc in a topic.

ITs best that people who slate this game to just go and create another specific thread titled "is SC a scam" and feel free to discuss it there.

There isn't. There is the SQ42 monthly report and that is pretty much it (as I also previous said) which I would actually say even the SQ42 I linked previous isn't particular SQ42 focused and more a 50/50. Not a bad thing, just that the teams interlink as do the games and tech.

There is no videos on SQ42 after trying once. It took over a year for another video that was delayed and had almost zero new info. It is pretty limited even if that is the element they are focusing on. I am not complaining about it in that I want more. Just that it really isn't that much info (at least nothing new since the last big vertical slice they did a few years back).

So suggesting there is tons isn't true, not if you reflect compared to the PU info.

Just because someone is within the rules doesn't mean it is conducive to a thread that is good or that it is needed hey. Being a douche isn't against the rules but it doesn't mean you should be hey

Being negative or critical of the game and it's development doesn't mean straight up lying to cause argument and harassment to people posting though. Also no toys thrown and no pram owned. Not sure why you have suggested that.

Some simple criticism and such easy enough for people to discuss

• Where has all monies been spent
• Why do they have such slow development time
• Why isn't it out yet
• Why do they keep ignoring major bugs
• Why do they not talk more about SQ42, are they hiding their development hell?

Etc. But straight up calling it a scam and **** posting on here to get people riled up isn't helpful. Yeah maybe someone wants to rant and feels that way but when they periodically come in over a dozen times to say the same thing that doesn't have any substance it becomes a chore. And I don't like to put people on ignore because good discussion can come from them. Maybe not in a particular thread such as this but in other forum locations. If they only posted in here then it might be different. Doesn't help to ignore either. Spreading false information about something because they are salty it has taken longer than they wanted or they feel they are owed what they paid into etc when tbh something like this could come crashing down any minute with no return and burning the walls down again doesn't seem like something that is conducive to making an interesting forum topic that can actually be discussed.

I will again disagree. There are plenty games out there where I get more news on development than what I get through SQ42. I think you clearly seem to be missing something. I read it all. I share that info and I have even linked the monthly report above. Again thouh the information there is very limited. A proper breakdown on where the game is actually at and say where they want to take it has been missing for years. You have even re-linked what I have already linked about 20 posts ago. Again I would disagree that it gives a lot of info on SQ42. I also never stated there no news. At least actually read what I have written before replying. I get you are hyped for SQ42. It was the reason I backed originally but it doesn't change out that the news is limited.

They had one video called the briefing room that died straight away. That was back in October 2020. It was last time we had something and then it has been 6 months since then. That was at least useful to keep up to date on top of the monthly reports and gave some additional info. It would have been good to have got more from this before they gave up.

Some of the info in the SQ42 roadmap has break downs on where they are at on certain detailed specific items like AI.

They keep us updated on what AI's they have worked.

They mention stations and other areas they have worked on or done and what chapters they are currently working on.

Correct me if am wrong but i am assuming you want this all to be easily read and tracked so on each roadmpa update they can say, yup we did the janiter npc ai plus the other 100 npc behaviour and tech from the past and we now working towards npc behavior xyz for the next quarter?

By the way i dont care about SQ42, its SC that i signed up for!

I think it's difficult for those who aren't fans or keen on the project to grasp that some (not including myself in this) don't see the money they have chucked at this as poor value for money., they are happy with it - Fair play to them.

I'm still very on the fence about it, I've hard literally hundreds, possibly thousands of hours of actual fun messing about in this but I still don't have what I'd consider a proper game, even a fraction of what was offered and what I actually backed for. If I totalled up the hours/pound then yeah totally value for money but it feels like paying for a four course meal and getting unlimited bread and water at the moment.

It's differing opinions, there's plenty of negativity on here about the project, but at least when people have skin in the game the rest can see them as something other than trolls being trolls and going for post count. It's a discussion forum though, problem is many post here without any real interest in discussion (I'm increasingly in this camp). It's just drop in, scream about it being a scam for a few post then disappear for six months.

I was thinking the other day - how blown away i was when I first saw the "I am a PC game" promo and then how great it was was when they released the hangar module (for you youngsters here - that was about 20 yrs ago) and I thought that Chris Roberts was on track to release what he had originally shown us.

Now - so many years later - its clear this has become a class study in project mismanagement, a grotesque, bloated vanity project where he got to play director yet again and spend years constantly re doing stuff they have already developed just because #reasons- all whilst keeping his wife and close family in well paid jobs/houses/holidays/cars/whatever

For me this "project" is the biggest disappointment I have had in 30 yrs of gaming.

A miracle would need to happen for this to release (assuming it ever does) and be anywhere near the milestone game people still seem to be expecting at this point.

"as big as WOW" - dont make me laugh.

Is it a "scam" - doubt it. Will it ever release in a near feature complete form as promised - doubt it.

I expect another year or two of development and then it will be released with gaping holes where promised content was supposed to be and Roberts will move on to his next big thing.

reminds me of the "Elite IV is coming soon!!" debacle. i remember all the talk of getting out the ships, the Frontier even had a demo of dogs walking around to demo the animation etc etc. Then....nothing. for decades. On the heels of the bugfest that was FFE too.

i think SC is a textbook example ohy you should never, never, NEVER continually ask the public what they want added. you tell them what you're doing, if they kickstart millions, you know you're onto a winner. you want to **** it all up? keep going back and asking what more they want, and then continually try to shoehorn it all ill.

This is the Star Citizen thread, it's very valid to put his post here. And yes, he criticised the game, again as someone has said, it seems some here only want an echo chamber.
