******Official Star Citizen / Squadron 42 Thread******

Pointless trolling Star Citizen here, go to Spectrum and do it. Or Reddit where the second biggest active SC community seems to be... doing it here is like an echo chamber of the same 15-20 people just posting for years over and over again on their own...

It was a serious question...back in the day (very early backer) he was very visible, leading from the front etc.

Whilst I have long since lost all faith in this project, I would check back every now and then to hear "The Chairmans latest thoughts etc but am I right in thinking he rarely pops up these days ??

One of the many things that put me off was his awful wife - has she taken the money and run as well or still about ?

He's handed over most of it to actual project managers etc rather than meddling constantly. I can see this only as a positive given the number of set backs largely attributable to his constant desire to promise more and more. The end goal and vision are still his and no doubt he's still hugely influential but if he's not out front and centre he's less likely to make promises he can't keep.

Not sure why people fixate on his wife, seems creepy tbh.

30k for a ship? LMAO

Maybe you guys could chip in together.

30k for what ship?

That isn't Star Citizen, that is Star Atlas a completely different project in UE5 with NFTs.

Price of ship is irrelevant, I've played the game spending my £65 total (£35 by choice to get a little extra grav lev thing) as those whom have chosen to spend £10k.

Completely daft arguments and perspectives from here are the reasons why people get a little defensive.

Yup well said.

I have set many trolls here on my ignore list.

Such a blissful thread to read mostly now.

By the way, 3.17 ptu patch has now added basically all the latest new ships thats been released in the last few months that you can buy in-game such as the redeemer, iron/ares, 400i, the raft and the hover bike.

This weekend they are testing jumptown and ninetails event on 3.17 .

These two events u can easily grind and do for a whole day and be able to buy a decent ship afterwords.

Making in game money to buy ships is great and means you don’t ever have to buy a 400i or redeemer using real money

Quick run down on how this works, if you buy this that gives you full access to the game, with it you can earn the in-game currency, with it you can buy from a large collection of FPS weapons, armour, ship components and weaponry and ships, and its not made deliberately long to earn enough.

If you play the mission loops for 6 hours a week in 10 weeks you would earn enough in-game currency to buy one of these, if you know what you're doing you could do it in half that time.

To hammer the point home in 6 moths i have bought with in-game currency:

This - This - This - This - and i have enough in-game currency saved up to buy This and This and get plenty of change.

ED Horizons was played entirely through your in cockpit displays, so for example if your running cargo you go to point A, get your cargo through your ship screens, fly to point B and drop off your cargo through the same screen, a couple of clicks.

The Odyssey expansion gives you access to screens in space stations or the surface outposts, and now you have hands to hold pew pews instead of the pew pew just being a ship extension of you.

Exactly. So many pointless comparisons with other games that don't really have the scope or desire to go beyond relatively simple stuff.
