******Official Star Citizen / Squadron 42 Thread******

I think he has a point to be fair, Going by CIG's progress so far it will be done by 13.8 in another 10 years.
I dont think it will ever truly be done... They will get to an arbitrary number, consider it done. They call it an "Alpha" but it has progressed beyond that, to call it an Alpha is nothing more than a cop-out, an excuse to parade out to add features whilst leaving already implemented ones in a terribly broken state.

Have done siege a few times now. If you're in a group and you're the group doing the objectives then it's great fun. If you're solo or joining half way through it's crap. You spend all your time running trying to catch up and killing respawns. Framerate is also a big issue I found.

If / when they increase server ticket rate, that'll fix the AI. Then it's general improvements to the mission format. There's a lot that can/should be tweaked changed.

Oh and bunker auto cannons can now shoot through mountains... so when doing bunker missions its a 2k hike or its a toss up if you even have a ship to come back to.
They've always been able to do that I believe. The safe area should be directly behind the bunker as the central column blocks turret los. Can always destroy the turrets as well.

The issue IMO is that they keep adding silly things in like 1 of the things on the docket is getting the sheets on beds just right so it looks like it's naturally just folded, Bedsheet deformation physics they're calling it, It's utter crap like that which will keep pushing the actual important stuff further back. CIG are blatantly taking the piddle with that.

Whilst I see where you are coming from, do you truly think the guy who is working on fixing presentation of beds is the one holding up things like the new rendering engine, netcode, AI and Server performance? It's just a small vanity project for an artist in between bigger pieces.

Never had this issue on 3.17.1, I just parked up behind cover. Also when the bunker has 3 turrets (1 x top of structure, 2 rear ground level), there is no safe location.

Does taking out the turrets not incur CS? Never tried it.

Only guaranteed safe option I've found is to bring along the Constellation with the Ursa. Which is fine albeit a bit of a faff, but when something goes wrong or something glitches/crashes. It wastes another 20-30minutes to get the Connie back, the Ursa loaded and back on mission. OH yeah and seriously! on that subject there needs to be a way to load ground vehicles from hanger:mad: I mean surely its not difficult to implement this? All it needs is a ground vehicle spawn from one of the side bays of the Hanger.

You know its not so much the bugs themselves that annoy me, I have a huge amount of patience and tolerance for bugs/early access games. Its the hugely disproportionate amount of time wasted on the admin/faffing about to get back on track. If it wasnt so much hassle the bugs would be much more bearable.
