Keyboard and mouse work fine, just read up and watch youtube videos first, most ships aren't flyable yet, many haven't even been put in-engine, it's literally at the start of alpha phase development although is headed in the right direction. If you want something that is nearly released elite: dangerous which comes out mid December would arguably be better ;)

And there we have it, $65m in before the months end :D

Funds Raised: $65,039,402
Star Citizens: 666,201
The UEE Fleet: 533,257

Probably wouldnt have done it without the Javelin showing up, but certainly would have been close (would need 500k with 25h left).

So next weeks letter will be for $64m & 65m. As ive said before, no idea why they havent got these things prepared for when they happen, they have all these events starting just before or over weekends, knowing they'll sell millions, and we wont see a letter till Tuesday at best.

Chris tried to answer this in the last letter by saying that he didn't want to presume to know what would happen and that he wanted each letter to be crafted by him when it had it the milestones.

Either way, $65m is not to be sniffed at and from the last letter seems to be modular interiors are going to happen sooner rather than later!

Really, ive stopped reading them beyond the bit about the next goal and the added info for what we just unlocked. It all reads the same anyway, 'hard to believe we had $xx million' and 'who would have thought' etc etc.
Its nice that they're not just templated, but theres nothing he'd find out on Monday that he wouldnt have known on Friday.

Yeah, the modular interiors will be awesome. It doesnt need to be Sims in space, but if we can swap materials/colours & object placement, that'd be so cool.

You probably need to go here and place the ship in the hangar, it's a reasonably new feature and one which is daft since it by default doesn't add any ships to the hangar itself.

It meant many players with lots of ships logged into empty hangars one day, lots of panic lol

You should have a few flight modes in arena commander, free flight, vanduul swarm etc but it's an alpha game and we've only access to one of the modules - which is why I suggested to Ciegeman above that he check out Elite:Dangerous until Star Citizen is further into development. You've been lucky to get one of those packages, you won't regret it later :)

when you consider most games are developed behind closed doors for half of their development life, 2016 would be very reasonable. The big games like GTA4 & 5 take a good 4yrs, even the 3 COD studios work on a 3yr cycle and they're just the same thing each time, they're not suddenly turning it into a huge space sim, or starting a new company without a publisher paying the wages day 1.

Destiny has 5-6yrs behind it too. Considering the scope and gradual buildup of staff, 4-5yrs would be very reasonable IMO, and at least we'll get access to the various modules when they're reasonably stable etc. I think next year should be a good one, with FPS & social modules in the first 3-6mo, the first block of Sq42 missions, and probably the PU towards the end of the year, along with all the showings of WIP bits coming together like the landing sequence.

two-factor authentication is in the works, let's hope they split the launcher and website accounts now so we're not logging into a game client using an account with our personal details attached :p
