Have they?
Yeah annoyingly. There things that just don't work, it doesn't record and people are finding that their bodies when they get back to them are just in undersuits. Anything that you have not used in your inventory that you collected isn't being saved between patches and similar. So yeah things are not really persisting as such properly at moment.

You had me worried there so i logged in to check my gun rack, its all still there.

They have said they are going to be more aggressive with PES clean-up.

Oh... not good.

It is to do with if you say do a bunker run, collect stuff and put it in your inventory and never touch it, come next patch/update be major or minor you will loose it unless you have equipped it at least once and then put it back in inventory. Also it has to be main landing location inventory otherwise PES is not recording it at moment, they said they spotted this issue with 3.19 roll out but not clear if it means always been case or just something changed in 3.19.

PES is not meant to save items between patches. thats the job of the LTP system.

They have literally come out saying PES isn't storing the information to their system which should be on the entity graph PES utilises. LTP is PES by way. It is long term persistence that is using the entity graph. That is why it is a separate service. The entity graph feeds this. Where do you think it is stored otherwise if not with the entity graph?

LTP stores it and thats what gets persisted through each patch(when it works lol)

Feels pretty bad so far.

Keep getting teleported off my ship back to the ASOP area when I go to sit down in it.

30ks. ASOP terminals not working.

The above LTP issues. Presumably why I keep waking up at Area 18 and not where I logged off, and losing inventory.

One of the servers i was in, EU 270, was like this, so i joined a friend in another server, EU 170, and it was perfect for 4 hours.... and 30K'ed.

In Console Type r_ hit TAB and type 3, hit return, you will see a load of info in the top right corner, on the 4'th line or there about is the server number.

(if tabing after typing r_ and 3 doesn't bring up the comand string its r_displayinfo 3

Been playing on the eu 120 server since 2pm today and no 30k crashes whatsoever.

some bugs and glitches of course but it ran great for SC standards.

Had a good evening yesterday running some ground fights with the Org. Had a couple guys having login issues but was a good stable evening for almost everyone.

Did have an interesting desync situation happen. I was piloting a Cutty with people in the back, landed nice and gently while waiting for the go. Everyone in the back starts panicking and asking why we're flipping upside down and crashing. I'm on voice going, 'uhh, we landed 2mins ago and everything's normal, wtf?' Everyone else in the ship says we're upside down, on the ground and I should try exiting from the pilot seat. The microsecond I started to leave the seat, the entire world changed, we were upside down, floating 10m off the planet surface. :D

That was near the end of the evening and the server I think was dying. We started to get a couple people invisible, lifts not working etc.

Nah, I've had to call it a day with this patch.

ASOP terminals didn't work at all for me yesterday. Can't accept contracts yesterday or today.

And this is before Invictus starts. It's only going to get a lot worse next week.

It weird I couldn't get 3.18 to work at all since December but 3.19 has been excellent for me so far and really smooth tbh even compared to 3.17. I didn't have anything to loose so I haven't seen those bugs but what is there is working so much better and more snappy.

Yeah. I haven't been on today and only had a dabble yesterday, so I don't know how bad it is, but I have seen a lot of people talking about increased 30k's and other issues.
I put a fair few hours in over the first couple of days and didn't get a single disconnection or any major issues over some long sessions.

I've not kept up with some of the details but what few hours I've played so far have been Far better than 3.18 though. Two biggish issues that I have seen people talk about is items disappearing if you don't equip / put into inventory.

Newly Acquired Items May Be Lost on Logout If Not Placed In Inventory

We are tracking and investigating a fix for an issue with player inventories, ships, and items that have been recently acquired during a play session. Certain items, such as those looted from out in the verse, can sometimes not be properly saved to Long-Term Persistence (LTP) which can result in any new additions to a player's inventory simply seeming to vanish on their next login.

This seems to occur most frequently when a newly acquired item isn't properly stowed in a location or ship-based inventory or a logout occurs away from a landing zone or a bed.

We are working on a fix for this and will be attempting to get it resolved as soon as possible. To prevent item loss until the fix can be deployed, make sure that any newly acquired items/equipment are retrieved and stowed in a location or ship-based inventory before you logout.

Basically, moving new items from one inventory location to a different inventory should ensure that LTP can work to preserve your hard work in the verse so you can pick up where you left off when you return.

Please note: Ship components and FPS items acquired prior to the patch are being reported missing in 3.19.0. If they were not placed in inventory before 3.19.0, these items are lost.

Ship Persistence and Vanishing Ships

We have identified and are also working on a fix for some issues with ships, similar to items as noted above. Newly acquired ships are being observed to vanish if they have not been properly delivered and stowed before logout. Some specifics for this issue:
  • Filing an insurance claim will result in the loss of your ship or vehicle unless you retrieve and store it before logging out of the game.
  • New ships purchased with aUEC will need to be delivered and then stowed to ensure it remains available on next login.
  • Rentals need to be delivered and stowed or they will not be available on next login, regardless of the time left on the rental.

Basically, to ensure you don't lose a new ship, however it was acquired, make sure you deliver and stow it at least once before you logout of the game.

This is obviously a hugely frustrating issue and our teams are working on a fix for this as quickly as they can.
