Yup. Virpils are great. No point going VKB or any other from them!

I hear you but for someone who just wants an occasional dabble, but don't want to go right in at entry level (say TM T1000s) the VKB NXT Evo kit is great value and I understand far above quality wise than some of the other options from Logitech etc.

Their Gunfighter MKIV base and Modern Combat Grip is pretty much same cost as a WARBRD-D+Constellation. Just without that no centre cam unfortunately, good for other Sims though for sure and I'm sure their soft centre space cam is fine, just that I got used to having no bumps etc so I'd probably dislike it. Dunno tbh, been around the houses many times.

Winwing looks great value too, I just didn't like the look of it lol. The sticks anyway, rest looks cool. The guy I got the stick from (right hand) forgot to send the cable, springs, cams, and hand rest lol. Thankfully he has found the spare parts in his attic and has shown me he has contacted virpal directly who will send me out a replacement hand rest. I need it as my hand is just a tad to small to reach everything, and tbh its uncomfortable without it anyway.
The buttons seem a bit louder or clickier than the alpha prime, but I appreciate not touching a freezing cold stick straight away (not that it takes long to warm up)
And the money I saved and part of the reason I went for the non-prime was because the mounting stuff has cost me a lot of money.

I was really tempted by vkb this time around. The only reason I didn't get one for the right stick at least is because they don't have a no centre option on any of their bases and cosmosim cams with no centre are really nice. I actually think the gunfighter joystick.(Meant modern combat grip) is probably a bit more suited to the size of my hand than a constellation is (I like the brake lever which you don't get on the space one)
Those second hand chair mounts I have installed came with base plates for a gunfighter or a gladiator so I still have a left hand option, but do have another constellation+ warbrd on backorder.
I guess the main thing with keeping the same vendor is you don't have to fanny about with separate software.

When I get around to it I'm going 2x VKB Omni throttles, think it'll suit me better than going back to dual stick or HOTAS tbh.

With VKB don't you just remove a spring in order for it not to centre? or have I misunderstood.

With a soft center cam, you can feel it as the stick goes over the different axis center lines, with no center you don't.

If you imagine you were trying to make some very small, subtle movements for aiming that bump could get in the way potentially. This is because I have yaw on the right x-axis, if it was roll then wouldn't matter :)

Having a center helps you not cross axis is all, So you only ever send in y input or X input.

You are thinking of the actual stick centring in which you are completely right. Taking springs out in effect turns it into a dry clutch so you can use a normal stick like a throttle as in it will stay where you put it.

Sometimes you can even salvage some game play out of a few hours attempts.

My friend said 2 things appeared for him he has never bought, the Mirai Pulse and the Aurora MR, no idea why he got them.
