******Official Star Citizen / Squadron 42 Thread******

Just realised you can't join the Org unless you actually own the game, so here's our Discord.

Entirely up to you if you want it... :)

No I don't have the game yet as I was advised to hold off for the free weekend, but thank you. I may give you a shout but if I don't have things to work towards (like buying ships) then I tend to get bored :)
If I'm being honest. And this is coming from a sc fanboy. I'd wait until patch 4.1 is released to live before buying it.

4.0 will have multiple star systems to begin with and possibly 90 percent of of what was shown in citcom as well.

The reason why I say the 4.1 and not 4.0 is so that they can iron out and fix any game breaking issues that will occur during 4.0 initial release.

That means he won't be playing for 18 months though. End of day the freefly is still good to try out etc :)

Thought I'd jump on the PTU and give the Hull C a go as it was rentable. Big fan of the cargo hauling gameplay loop specially with a C2, but holy hell the Hull C is a pain.

The whole loop is just frustrating, first the docking is just a pain, having to perfectly align before the auto dock takes over is a lesson is frustrating camera angles and distance judgement.
Then there's the whole cargo aspect which requires docking, running to an admin terminal, buying cargo, running back to your ship, launching, requesting cargo support, flying to the square box, waiting for 1-5+ minutes for the cargo to load, once done you can be on your way.

When you arrive at your destination, you do the above all over again with the added bonus that if you want to grab more cargo for a return run, you have to redock again, run to admin, request cargo, run back to ship, request cargo support etc etc.

What took me an hour to do for 1 run was just not worth it considering your so insanely restricted in what cargo you can haul, only basic commodities are available from admin terminals at stations, no gold or quantanium etc.

Yeah, its a rushed not even half baked implementation, its like the ship was ready, they wanted to sell it so they cobbled something for it to do together,....

But... imagine loading and unloading that vast chrome penis by hand....

I can think of 4608 reasons not to buy a hull c. CiG need to up their salesmanship game.

I will say though, the cargo balance changes for salvage missions is way overdue and if they stick with what is on the PTU now, I am happy with that, just need a wipe for the next patch now to delete the hundreds of millions people have farmed doing it.

My ship inventory is ridiculously stacked and i still have 30 mil that i don't know what do with..... noobs are welcome to it if they need it.

I never found any Gasping Weevil Eggs, my biggest haul was from a C2 that had 147 SCU of Maze, 11 mil right there is one hit, i was nervous as hell approaching the salvage yard, you know how player pirates like to hang out around those...

I've not uploaded anything for while, so here's a rep[ell raid on Orison run... with sometimes not so brain dead NPC's.

3.21 Live.

I'm running Auto HDR, i don't know how it looks on a normal screen, if any different, if the contrast is blown out that's why.

Fancy HDR people!

You sure that's you in that clip mate? you aren't reloading after every shot, or has SC finally broke your habit? :)

Should be on later, bit miffed I didn't get a fix at lunch time.

SC broke my habit, partially used mags go back to your ammo belt and come back to haunt you.... :o

Notice if i only have a few rounds in the mag i fire them off so i can change to a full mag without a 6 round mag going back on the belt.
