Is it a light backpack? medium/heavy won't go on it otherwise. Likewise you need to have a clear back (no weapons shouldered)

weapons typically go on you or attach to your backpack if you are wearing one when you drag them over or holster.

Personal inventory is what you have physically on you.
Local is what you have in the local station
vehicle is what's stored on the craft you are currently stood in

I don't actually like this system much but it is kinda neat when it works.. when!

I watched this a few weeks back before I started playing again:

Might be worth a relog if inventory seems to be messing up.

Can you right click on the backpack and select equip? or drag i over the torso it should show up for you to drop it on?

Inventory can bug, but I can't think of why that isn't working.

We've had a lot of problems with inventory this week, been driving me mad. Always seems to be one of us bugged.

Dude in this sticks a backpack on just after the 4 min mark..

Trying to fly the Syulen when you've lost a wing/thruster in combat is basically the same as trying to fly a bath tub, loosing 1 thruster results in the ship pulling hard in that direction making flight in a straight line basically impossible. The ship tries to pivot itself in the direction of the lost thruster. If you lose 2, basically hold down delete and respawn as you ain't flying anywhere.

for a starter ship, I'd still recommend the Drake Cutter or the Anvil Avenger Titan if you don't mind spending a little more.

If you're happy to splurge £100+ then the Drake Cutlass Black (multirole combat/cargo 46scu) is a fantastic 2 person ship, followed by the Crusader C1 (cargo 64scu) or RSI Zeus MK2 (120scu, but not yet available)

I suspect it'll be a rare sight in the game after a few months like the Khartu-Al. It's just different, looks great but is arguably less practical than most other ships of any price.

Go to a station e.g. Seraphim, Tressler etc and log out there - generally far faster to leave than a planet. You should ideally set your regen location there using a terminal in the medical area (around the corner from reception usually to transfer location from home city) after that if you die you'll respawn at the station.

If you want to log back into your ship you need one with a bed and it's not 100% reliable, generally best to log out in space too by lying down in the bed and choosing to log out.

@Jay85 This is a quick dump of a vid of me arriving via QT at Microtech, then targetting and QTing to New Babbage. Still processing so quality is a bit potato. I arrive at Microtech about 1min 50 secs in.

Like humbug said, you can QT straight there like any other location :) The spaceport landing zone/hangars is in the illuminated rectangle in front of the massive sloped building.
I am never ever given a hangar marker and end up just using whatever one is open. Tonight I dived in and jumped out before my ship was despawned :)

@Noxia

You could say I'm a long time subscriber:

What I'd suggest is that if you can spare the money, fine but the flair you get each month is not something to do it for. I have a lot of it, much of it is useless at the moment even as hangar decoration as we have no access to our personal hangers just now, some of it is cool like armour and weapons but most of it is purchaseable in game or can be found so don't do it for exclusivity reasons.

If you see something you desperately want from past flair I can possibly get it for you as I and others on here who do sub will have access to the subscriber store and can gift items over once purchased.

BTW I know it's been xplained multiple times but I am still puzzled as to the value of real money purchasing ships when you all seem to have so much money you can buy whatever you want in-game anyway. I guess because when there is a wipe (potentially funds) you can get straight in to the ship you like. Weird to think though that when the game goes live, someone could already have every single ship available.

Most have bought "jpegs" to help fund the game, having it available post wipe is a convenience but a lot of SC backers have been around for years and have drip fed money in over time, the melt system makes that viable. $5 a month over the course of a couple of years really adds up when you can moved that credit around from ship to ship and using the buy back system.

The winners long term will be time rich players, regardless of how many ships they own at launch. As you've said yourself you can earn this all in game and I'd argue there are too many large ship owners out there who will likely never be able to fully human or AI crew their ships so will never get the full value from them. It's their money though, I don't really care how they spend it.

Gonna give it another bash tonight, fps definitely tanks more at Lorville but the sights are nice. The metro is confusing as hell too and i spent way too long yesterday looking for food and water , almost died of dehydration just running around looking for a drink. Tonight i'm gonna learn how to pick up missions and go out and do something since i spent all my money on gear and died so basically have my starter stuff now!

Get volumetric cloud/effects off. makes a big difference.

Personally I prefer Microtech in general but Humbug seems emotionally attached to Seraphim station, I think it's his favourite death spot.
