I understand, but you have to realise you're incredibly lucky to be a Man Utd fan, especially recently, they've had more success in the last 5 years than nearly every English side will ever achieve in their history. Don't act so spoilt!
Nick do you actually remember when we went out to Porto?
Was it that they were a poor team or was it a shocking refereeing decison?
Another question, do you think the teams of the early 90's would have won the EC/CL if there wasn't the foreigner rule in place?
Would it have been better if Beckham had stayed with United when it was obvious to everyone that he was getting too big for his boots and being an utter ****?
I do feel that Ferguson is too negative sometimes in Europe
I understand the loyalty to fergie, he's very very good in the premiership, I do think he's buys and tactics have held Manu back from dominating the champions league for a spell. Sometimes when Manu get knocked out in europe you are left wondering WTF Fergie was thinking.
His domestic record is really beyond scrutiny but I always feel he's really underachieved with the resources and players/teams he has had in europe. He really should have won it 4 or 5 times or more with the teams he has assembled multiple times over.
lol I missed all the Tom Cruise puns a page back... shame on you all!
I hope and pray to everything that is holy that he isn't good enough to get in our team, the constant flack we'd take for it he was playing...unbearable to even think of.
The bottom quote is the one that most reliable sources are publishing, I've not seen the top one anywhere
Man Utd fans
Fact of the matter is we could have put bids in for those players and they chose to go elsewhere, I don't know if we did and neither do most fans.
Spurs have sealed league shirt sponsorship from Autonomy in a deal worth over £20m over two years.
Nice one Levy. Now get a cup sponsor lined up.
id be happy enough to stay in England but ive not had the experience of living in luxury in a Hot country, be difficult to adjust to life in a british city
i reckon we do make approachs to clubs for a lot of players
but when ya think about it, if you were say Sneijder and you had the choice of leaving Madrid for Man Utd (Rainy Manchester Estates) or Inter Milan (Sunny Italian Villas) which would you choose?

Right, so you're agreeing with me then![]()
both quotes say the same thing in different words
Either way it proves Utd have shown interest in the player that you stated Utd were not interested in![]()
Exactly and then the times when they actually unleashed when they had to you were left wondering why they didn't just tear the team apart like that from the beginning instead of looking like they were trying to get to half time 0-0.
You had teams that played in the premiership at 100 mph with stupidly fast counter attacks all of a sudden playing as though they were trying to nick a 1-0.
Spurs have sealed league shirt sponsorship from Autonomy in a deal worth over £20m over two years.
Nice one Levy. Now get a cup sponsor lined up.
Tottenham Hotspur, the English soccer club that cracked the 'big four' to qualify for next season's Uefa Champions League, has secured a new multi-million pound shirt sponsorship.
The deal, with Autonomy Corporation PLC, a global leader in infrastructure software, will run for two years and only covers Premier League matches. Financial details were not released, but the deal is known to be worth more than the £8.5 million (US$12.9 million) annual sum Spurs were receiving from Mansion. The Autonomy partnership is believed to be closer to £10 million (US$15 million) per season, while Spurs will sign another shirt sponsor for cup games, including the Uefa Champions League.
Autonomy will become only the fifth brand ever to appear on the Tottenham shirt. The agreement also includes a mutual option to extend the partnership for a further three-year period.
A FTSE 100 listed company, Autonomy is the UK's largest, pure software company, with over 20,000 global customers and offices worldwide. The partnership is more than a simple cash deal; as part of the relationship, Autonomy will work with Tottenham Hotspur across a wide range of activities including significant consultancy support for enhanced services to fans and for the club's new stadium and training centre developments.
Daniel Levy, the chairman of Tottenham Hotspur, said: "We are delighted to have Autonomy as our new global partner. I have been impressed with Autonomy's vision and growth for many years, having previously been an investor. Autonomy is the leader in its field and as such is the ideal partner for Tottenham Hotspur at a time when we continue to grow our existing operations and facilities with two major capital expenditure projects underway - a new training centre under construction and proposed new stadium development - both of which will include state-of-the-art technology as part of their world-class designs."
