You must be able to work out why people think Xavi is better, Xavi is unreal

Edit - The bit about Fabregas only wanting to go to Barca is skewing the transfer slightly, that doesn't mean he's any less valuable to Arsenal, and that's the bit that matters. I'd rather keep Fabregas for 5 years than sell him for £29m or whatever they offered, him in Arsenal's team for 5 years is worth much more than £29m, he transforms the team hugely every time he plays.

I still don't see why the majority of people here say Xavi is a better player than Fabregas when last season Fabregas played less games than Xavi but still out scored and out assisted him for club and country. The stats are on ESPN's website and I can't be bothered to look for them, but they are there. I brought that up before and got told that stats are useless but it seems they are only useless when they don't fit certain people's arguments and ideas.

Arsenal are not as good a team as Barcelona, Fabregas plays in a weaker team in a more competitive league and managed more goals and more assists in less appearances than Xavi who plays in a team surrounded by the best players in the world.

I agree with what Gimp is saying though, Barcelona are the only team he will move to, making all other bids from any other club absolutely irrelevant, City would probably pay £70-80 million, maybe more, but he won't play for them so it's a pointless piece of speculation. He's certainly worth more than £30,000,000 in my opinion but then if Barcelona only want to pay that much, and he only wants to move to them then that's all we are going to get. It's either that or tell them year after year to up their price while we have an increasingly frustrated Fabregas. I don't think that's the point we are at yet, but next summer that could be where we are.

I watch Fabregas week in week out but I would still take Xavi over Fabregas, it is only the age of them which is the sticking point.

If you want to have a proper debate, Iniesta or Fabregas? ;)

I wouldn't compare Fabregas and Iniesta, from what I've seen they just play him as a striker at Barcelona, or a winger, whatever you wanna call it. Plus Iniesta looks like he scares children for a living.

As for Fabregas and Xavi, well, Xavi does have some nice eyebrows but I think going on last seasons form it's Fabregas all the way for me.

It's impossible to say who I'd take between Xavi, Fabregas and Iniesta, Iniesta is my favourite player of the 3 but Fabregas is most effective and Xavi is best at running a midfield. I want all 3. o wait I'm not Barca :(

Are you confusing Iniesta with Ibrahimovich or something

Iniesta is an attacking midfielder.

Nope. Every time I've seen Barcelona play they've used a 4-3-3 and put Iniesta either on the left or the right, I would've just called that an attacking winger.

Right ok, so do you want to make your mind up whether he's a winger or a striker?

I'll tell you now, he's an attacking midfielder that they have shoehorn into the system because of how they play, he might be in the line up on the left/reight but he is mostly central, him and Xavi are joined at the hip most of the time.

Sorry I didn't mean striker, I meant forward, as in playing on the forward line, as you point out Ibra is a striker, plays in the middle. What did I just say in my previous post?

Oh and calm down a bit! I made an error in naming a position on the football pitch about a player that we weren't even really discussing and has no relevance on the topic we were on! :o Chillax.

I'm perfectly calm

I'm sat in the most boring meeting imagineable educating Arsenal fans :p

Left/right winger.

Now he's central.

Make your mind up where he plays, not like it matters anyway he's still better than Prince Fabregas.

Well we (Man City) look to be signing Aleksander Kolarov who looks fairly decent from the games ive seen and he cant be worse than Bridge :/....Reported fee is 16m which isnt too bad i guess :p
In other news Shaktar Donetsk want Robinho!! Now i cant see him leaving to go there considering he always complains about the weather here!...I for one would like to see a fully fit happy Robinho playing behind Tevez next year......

Man City are fast becoming my most hated football club. I know lets buy everyone so no-one else can.

I hope they fail hard next season.
