I'm sorry but if that team even hopes to win a title you might as well give up 2nd place to city now. Its a pile of balls and not the kicking type! and old and useless balls at that

No one said that it would be a team to win the Premiership. in case you have been under a rock for a few months the W/C has just finished and a number of first team players are still on holiday you clown

LOL! you do know that most of the pre-season games are just youth players with one or two more experienced player chucked in, right?

That's not going to be Utd's team for their EPL opener.

Insua's due to complete his move to Fiorentina on Monday or Tuesday for £4.8 million. Absolutely shocking transfer given he's young, fast improving, an Argentine international and our only left back.

Was only a few weeks ago Purslow told the press we wouldn't be selling anyone until a manager had been appoined and had a chance to look at all of the players. That was obviously yet another lie because Hodgson has said he wants to keep Insua but talks had already started before he got here.

Welcome to Liverpool Roy. Bet you're really glad you left a stable and improving team to work with these bunch of ****s.

*Awaits the inevitable 'Rafa gave the go ahead for this transfer' bull****

He's not too different from your young Brazilian right back really. Not the best positionally but he's great going forward and he's got plenty of time to improve his defending. Having said that, he only had Babel and Yossi ahead of him last season and neither bothered to get back to help so he often had two players attacking him at the same time.

There is that as well as the fact he's said he wants to stay at Anfield. This decision hasn't got any thing to do with football, he's been targeted by the money men and pushed out of the club.

Edit: Just read Jol's going to be announced as Fulham boss no later than Monday. If that's true he needs his head examined.

If it's true, it could have been a lot worse. I'd prefer him over Eriksson personally. Then again my first choice would have been Hitzfield. At least he should be able to attract a few young german/dutch starlets. Thing is...why would he leave Ajax for Fulham?

Exactly. Ajax finished second in the Dutch league last season after missing out on the title by one point and qualified for the Champions League. They also won the Dutch Cup and have one of the youngest and most exciting squads in Europe. Makes no sense at all.

I hope if we do get Jol, he goes for Robbie Keane. He'd be a great signing for Fulham - especially if AJ is injured still (and even fit - them two would be a hard pair to mark!). SSN saying he could be confirmed later today?

Bit miffed to say the least about Insua. Certainly saw him as a really promising one for the future. Absolutely MUST get a left back now, not that there are all that many really good left backs available.
