Berbs when with us was as important to team as anyone could be, hence him being one of few players guaranteed a start at the time. If he was fit, he was playing.

Spurs - Berbatov = Champions league finish.

United + Berbatov = ?? well, he has done bugger all so count your lucky stars he is a greedy, lazy ******* word that cannot be mentioned and went to United.

Eduardo excelled in an extremely poor Croatian league and struggled in the Premiership. Nothing more than a competent striker at best and one that Arsenal have done well to get rid of.

My feelings as well...he was ok-ish but after that accident he was never going to be the same so honestly good riddance to him as we dont need someone like him who cant score goals...he had plenty of opportunities last season to prove himself but wasnt the same player he was meant to be before the injury...

Hopefully we will have a fit squad for the upcoming season....looking forward to seeing how Chamakh fits in.

1 purple patch and still unable to defend. He needs another 2 seasons playing at that level before he can be even considered top 3 material.

I agree that he isn't at the peak yet, but I think sometimes people, I know I do, forget he is still only 21. That kind of age gives him plenty of scope for development. Many would disagree with me but he is just a player I have always wanted

he had plenty of opportunities last season to prove himself

He didn't actually get much of a run in the side at all at centreforward, he was mainly used as a sub, or on the wing, I can't remember him getting say 4 starts on the trot in his favoured position.

Not suggesting he should have done, as he looked off the pace a bit and too inconsistent in front of goal, but it's not like he was given countless opportunities.

Anyway the worry now is how much pressure this heaps on Van Persie, who is likely to miss some games due to injury/suspension anyway.

If anyone bought one of those shirts with the wrong number I expect they'll change it for them before they send it out, or give them a refund. I think the same thing happened the other day with Arsenal shirts when RVP and Vela changed numbers.

Bendtner offered to personally refund anyone with #26 when he changed to #52.....

....quick rummage down the back of the sofa probably sorted that out :)

If we are in for him and Bridge wants the move then I can't see City standing in his way. They're about to sign Koralov and they have Boateng (although he's likely to be their first choice RB) and Barry who are capable of playing LB too. I get the impression that Mancini doesn't rate Bridge either; quite a few times Bridge would be the first player subbed off with Barry getting pushed back to LB.

I'd much rather we went after Figueroa though.

"Before I start a new chapter in my career with Shakhtar Donetsk, I just wanted to send a message to all my friends at Arsenal.

"The past few days have been very emotional for me. Although I am excited about the challenge ahead with my new club Shakhtar Donetsk, I am so sad to be leaving my home for the past three years - Arsenal Football Club.

"Arsenal is a very special football club and I will miss so many people - my team mates, all the staff and of course, the wonderful Arsenal supporters.

"I would just like to thank everyone for your support during my time at Arsenal. When I first came to England, I could not speak the language and knew nobody, but as soon as I arrived I was made to feel at home and part of this big family. Also, I want to say thank you to the Arsenal supporters - you have been fantastic to me and always sung my name and I will never forget this.

"I had some very difficult times with my injury, but Arsenal was always there for me - the medical staff, the management, the players and the supporters. Thank you everybody.

"Although I have now left the Club, Arsenal will always be in my heart. I will always look for the Arsenal results and of course, I wish Arsène Wenger and the great players at the Club well for next season and the future."

Few words from Eduardo, seems like a gent from what I've read. Really hope he does well, Shak-attack are awesome to watch so at least he'll be playing in an exciting team

Apparently Fergie wasn't too bullish in his response to Vidic possibly leaving after last nights game... would be a massive blow if he does leave as we'd be relying on Evans given Rio is a crock. Would definitely need someone to come in and replace Vida
