A lot of people say Masch is very dirty but an interesting stat I read the other day said that he has given away the same amount of fouls and yellow cards as Lucas.

They're both very...'full bloodied' buggers. With the talk being around Barcelona this really could open the door for Toure to move on, possibly to us. Who knows, maybe that will mean one of Denilson or Diaby leave. :p

Do we want Yaya? He was useless against Inter. I haven't really seen that much of him this season, he hasn't played a lot of the times I've watched Barca.
Of course, I accept anything is better than Denilson, and Diaby could be improved upon too...

I see other people thought 'so what does that say about Lucas' when they read that too. :D

He hasn't been able to get a run of games with Barcelona all season so obviously his form would drop. And the way Inter were playing, I highly doubt a defensive midfielder would have been able to shine.

I've never rated Yaya all that highly, but I never knew if thats just because Iniesta and Xavi are on another level.

Granted hes lost his starting place to Busquets this season so hasnt really had much of a chance to play.

I wouldnt mind seeing him at Arsenal....he will fit in pretty well with our passing game as its similar to Barca.

Hes a decent player and we would do well to get him into the side at the expense of the 2 muppets that are Denilson and Diaby.

Apparently Mascherano wants out. I rate him as a DM, though not as good as e.g. Diarra.

Mascherano would eat Diarra alive.

As for wanting out; it's been known for the last 18 months that his family can't settle in the area (his wife can't speak English) but like last summer, he'll only leave if a club is willing to pay a big enough fee to persuade us to sell (and presumably it would have to be from a side in Spain).

The good thing wth somebody like Masch is that regardless of this, he won't kick up a fuss and will put in 110% every game.

Like Heinze and Tevez? :p

Chamakh is in London tying up the loose ends on his move to Arsenal, according to SSN.

Bordeaux are stupid for not selling him to us for a decent amount in January and then before that last summer. They knew he wanted to come to us and apparently he was furious at the move not being allowed by Bordeaux, and now they will get nothing in transfer funds from us.

So because they're from the same country their characters are the same? :p

Mascherano wanted to move to Barca last summer but he acted like a model pro; no moaning and was fully committed on the pitch.

If he does want to leave again this summer (and it's not clear that he does, despite these comments) and the move doesn't go ahead, I'd have absolutely no worries about his attitude and application again next season.

Serves them right in all honesty...no sympathy from me towards Bordeaux...they should have taken the £10mill plus we were offering him back in January but decided not to...now means we dont pay Bordeaux a single penny for a very good striker:p

Happy days indeed \o/:D

Latest United transfer rumour is that Fergie is after Angel Di Maria, but Benfica rate him at £38 million!

I haven't seen much of him to be fair but that price tag seems a bit ridiculous, you can see what Fergie meant last summer about the transfer market prices being inflated. United also linked with Luis Suarez, the Ajax striker, not sure how credible that is either lol.

 £38mill for a player that probably a lot of people havent heard of...unless hes something special and has been kept under wraps by Benfica:p.

But i imagine that with the WC coming up the transfer market will be inflated price wise based on what 3-4 weeks of form??

Mascherano's wife can't speak English, I read this in the paper the other day and it really annoyed me:,
 'my wife doesn't speak english and stays in the house all day'.

Mascherano signed for Liverpool at the beginning of 2007 so his family must have been here for at least 2 years, even if she can't speak english there must be more Argentinian families around Liverpool than those of other Argentinian footballers, it's not like the paperazzi are going to be chasing her, surely the WAGs would socialise with her if she made an effort?

Agreed, no sympathy for Bordeaux really when it was inevitable he would go to Arsenal in the end.

Will be a good start to the summer for them, just have to see what Wenger does with the transfer budget now that he's saved a lot with Chamakh coming on a free.

To be fair to the lad he is very very left footed in the same way that Valencia is all right foot. Oh and he tore Everton a new butt hole when he played against them. A good player to liken him to is Ribery or Robben with their explosive pace from a standing start.
