Not disputing that at all - I would still go for a cheapish experienced keeper though for a couple of seasons, even if you then pay £15m or whatever for a youngster to blood slowly
Sometimes youngsters given the No 1 straight away get too bothered with the pressure (Foster for example, who I reckon will have a much better career now he's in a less pressured environment, who had pretty decent performances week in /week out while on loan away from OT)
is schwarzer good enough for a top 4 team? he is 37, will he stay good enough for another 2 seasons?
then the other side of the coin is, will mannone or the other guy ever get to be as good as lloris or some other top keeper? arsenal also cannot compete in the champions league without a world class keeper, it should be a main priority but he seems very relaxed about it.
