Not disputing that at all - I would still go for a cheapish experienced keeper though for a couple of seasons, even if you then pay £15m or whatever for a youngster to blood slowly

Sometimes youngsters given the No 1 straight away get too bothered with the pressure (Foster for example, who I reckon will have a much better career now he's in a less pressured environment, who had pretty decent performances week in /week out while on loan away from OT)

is schwarzer good enough for a top 4 team? he is 37, will he stay good enough for another 2 seasons?

then the other side of the coin is, will mannone or the other guy ever get to be as good as lloris or some other top keeper? arsenal also cannot compete in the champions league without a world class keeper, it should be a main priority but he seems very relaxed about it.

Stokes reserve keeper refused to play for them tonight, didn't he only join them in January?

Pretty sure Chelsea are after him aren't they?

I wish teams would start standing up to players who refuse to play and just stick them in the reserves for the rest of their contract to wreck their career. It would only take a few for them to realise the consequences. Player power is getting rather tiring now.

Asmir Begovic regarded as one of the better young kepper in the prem.

Fullham or chelsea have turned his head and hes frustrated at not being number 1.

Hope Pulis lets him rot 2bh

I'd be very happy if we were to get someone like him, although Hughes has said he prefers 'experience' too, so it would be surprising considering we have Stockdale.

paul konchesky supposedly being close to signing for pool. RH pretty much said on LFCTV lastnight that one more in and our dealings in will be done =/

For the 3rd year in a row we make profit on our transfer dealings, let alone once this Masch thing goes through (And it surely will .. right on deadline .. so we conveniently cant invest any of the cash, right into the owners pocket)

Squad has never been weaker.
Benny to Cole = different player, but weakens the team imo because he has to play where SG used to play, and SG > Cole in the hole.
Cav to Brad = meh, who cares?
Masch gone, Aqu on loan and Poulsen in = severe downgrade.
Riera to Jovan = meh i like him as a guy, but we now have 0 width in the team. Downgrade :( sorry.

So all in all, the team is weaker, we made more cash for the owners to hold onto the club and bleed us longer with. Seems pretty clear that RH is just a yes man to me now.

More evidence that Pulis is not a premier league class manager. Just can't handle the ego's.

Just don't come looking our way, you already have Rudgy sitting up there

Hmm seems the rules have laxed slightly over European competitions. If a team fields a player in the qualifying rounds, then if they're eliminated he can play for somebody else in the proper competition provided his first club doesn't make it that far.

Rumours going around that Kuyt was pulled from the squad for our EL game at the last second for negotiations with Inter. Mate didnt see him leave with the squad either so there may be some substance. However Kuyt has traveled alone a few times before for whatever reason.
