Wow I gave up halfway through that...:p

On a whole I am quite happy with our squad. Ideally we could do with a new Goalie and maybe another CB. But it's certainly better than a few months ago when we were looking to start the season with only one CB :D

I am hoping for a last minute bargain player but cant see it happening

I am so hoping for a prolific goalscorer signing for Spurs today. 3 Premier league games without one of our existing CFs scoring isn't good and Defoe's drought has gone for too long now.

Lehman had two or three mistakes, but so has Cech, Cassilas, Valdes, VDS, all players make mistakes, the difference is with keepers mistakes lead to goals FAR more often than mistakes by other players.

wow did you just say that VDS made mistakes? i dont think so mr bond.

casillas makes mistakes because he wears short sleeves, goes around punching the ball all day and thinks he is king don. Cech got kicked in the face and valdes is still young, and spanish.

Lehmans werent always simple 'oops i missed the cross' type mistakes. they were moments of insanity. like clothes lining an opponent instead of taking a goal kick etc. this is a mentality problem that leads to more mistakes being made.

Fabianski just doesnt like the ball - struggles to catch and doesnt like being put under pressure. therefore it is easier to get him to make a mistake than the premier best of's such as VDS or Cech.

Lehmann was always suspect due to temperament. I don't see enough of Arsenal to compare really, but I've never seen Almunia as much of a step down from Lehmann. Neither look/looked good enough to challenge at the top of the prem.

Haha! That's funny. :D

He really is a crazy Kraut, he jumped over the hoardings and took a pee during a game for Stuttgart, the game wasn't stopped or anything either, it was still going on as he ran behind the goal, jumped the little gate and took a leak.

Looks like Insua has is on his way to Galatasaray for £4.5 million. I'm sure he'll become a great player over time so I'm sad to see him go but he's been treated like dirt so I'm glad he's finally got a move. Everyone involved in this transfer at Liverpool should be embarrassed about the way they've treated him over the last few months.

:/
I hope Robinho leaves today or if he doesnt then i hope Mancini gets him in the team as we may start to see the best of him if hes around good players.

Wasn't Lehman one of the `INVINCIBLES`? I am sure that classes as "challenging at the top"

oohh come on - Lehmann is as sane as they come compared to Fabian Barthez (the failed frog) :D

:D

Why the rolleyes? A bit uncalled for to be honest.

Because he said "Neither look/looked good enough to challenge at the top of the prem" when he was part of the invincibles team which won the league. So obviously he `was` good enough. That was why. :p

I think Almunia's main problem is that he gets bullied by the defenders. Lehman never took any C### from anyone, even if he boarded the insanity levels with his pushing. Still entertaining :D
