Why do I need to build your shopping list for you? :p

Parker better then Barry, I'd take the risk on a 17 year old rather then Santa (who's injured and ****) and Ade who's just **** and a ****.

Bridge as well :D

Seriously, I want you to continue buying average players for big bucks, You can have Darren Purse to add some experience to your defence. You don't even need to play him, Lescott cost 24 million and he sits on the bench.

Yobo is a better defender then Lescott, or he was at Everton, Jagielkla was probably still better with one leg :p

Lukaka? ... You mentioned "unknown" He's not unknown, just because you've not heard of him or the English press aren't touching themselves over him doesn't mean he's unknown. There are lots of young players getting reputations for themselves.

You dont have to build a shopping list but give me a few players that are better than what we signed....
I know about him...millions dont..
Well why hasnt anyone taken the risk? similar to Neymar tbh

Neymar that Chelsea are after? :D

I've given you players that are better then what you bought, Parker and Jags are better then Barry / Lescott.

Lots of people that pay attention to European football know about him, by god if we know about him, Football clubs know about him :p

Clubs in the Premier League don't take risks because if they lose places in the league it costs them money.

I'd have thought, picking up young players would have being where City started, building a side over the next 2/3 seasons. Nope, spunking 200 million on average players is where it's at.

Yeh...
Well we have picked up quite a few youngsters but no one looks at that...and do you think 200m is a lot? im not showing off but i dont think anyone realises how much money our owners have...and how can you say were not building a team for the next few years?
Silva,Boateng,Richards,Johnson-Johnson,Hart,Henshall,Kolarov,Kompany,Balotelli,Weiss all under 25..in 3 years most arent even in there prime but will have taken over Toure,SWP etc

25 isn't "young"

200 million is a lot of money. I couldn't care if your owners have more money. It doesn't mean 200 million isn't a lot of money, You could have gotten a lot more for that 200 million then you currently have.

Simples.

Well Mancini isn't an idiot so I'm pretty sure we got the best players we could....Hughes is an idiot and overspent on Lescott,Santa..but made good signings in Kompany,Tevez and none of them players are 25 :/...name another team who have a better set of players u25...

..Lennon and Bale? maybe Huddlestone...

Modric, Dos Santos, Sandro even Kaboul and Bassong. Plenty of others <21 full of potential too.

Not saying they're all better but Man City certainly don't have a unique claim in saying they have a great squad of <25.

I know were not unique but i certainly think we have quite a few of the best u25 players in the world atm eg Boateng,Kompany,Silva,Balotelli and Modric and Bale are the only spurs ones i would put on that list also.

For what it's worth I think you should have been looking at players like Rodallega, N'Zogbia, Samba, Parker, Jagielka, Cahill (Bolton), Defour etc

Instead you've gone around the route of paying well, well over the odds for players who aren't as good or are about level with the ones I've mentioned, except they've expected £100,000+ a week. :)

Hmm well i do agree with you but i would prefer Silva over N'Zogbia,Y Toure over Defour,Ade over Rodallega :(,Boateng over Samba...parker and Jagielka are good shouts though...and i probably would have signed them if i was manager (I did actually on FM and Fifa :p)

I wouldn't have spent £24 million on Adebayor either but I think you can see how much of a **** he is now. :p

"Best in the world" is a contentious tag, same as "world class" is.

All your signings you've mentioned need a season or 2 in the Prem before you can say for certain. Right now they are just expensive good players with potential.

Looking at your squad I'm struggling to see players who would get in ahead of Spurs first 11.

Hart over Gomes? Maybe, but probably not.
Defence? Not really, give them a season and my opinion might be different.
Midfield? None stand out at being better so far, again will need to say later.
Up front? This is the only area where Man City are ahead of Spurs.

I would'nt have spent 24m on him but 14 in 26 first season isnt bad and if he could be bothered he would probably have a few now...
Hart is better than gomes in terms of potential and current form but Gomes is a very good goalkeeper...
Spurs defence with an fit King is on par with us atm
We certainly have better defensive midfielders and Spurs have better attacking mid.
:)

 Look what you guys have done, I can't keep up with the thread!

*insert obligatory 'Man City overspent on **** players' comment*

Yes, I agree, if he just pulled his finger out of his ass he'd be a more consistent player, but he's just too much of a moody whinge bag. As for midfield I don't really see any playmakers in Man City's midfield if I go on the teams they've chosen for the first few games. It just seems to be defence, 3 DM's and then LW, ST, RW. Now that Spurs have van der Vaart as well as Modric, Bale and Lennon I think they have a much better midfield than City, I also rate Huddlestone pretty highly, I just think Spurs need a more prolific goalscorer.

lol about 4 pages now on this topic...only about 3 individual posters also :)
I agree K1ll we dont have much of an attacking midfield but Yaya has bombed forward a few times and with success but i think in January we need a good solid playmaker but i cant think of anyone  and Spurs have a quality striker in Keane but they dont play him :/
