So him single handedly keeping you in the title race was scoring the winner vs Sunderland and getting your 2nd goal vs Spurs? :p

Well that's 6 points in the run in, 6 points that could have been two. scoring one and creating another in the Spurs victory stopped that being a draw. Can you think of anyone else that made a massive contribution in the run in? Scholes won us 3 points against City but nobody did anywhere near what Nani did.

I didn't say he played poorly or that he hadn't contributed, I just questioned that he single handedly kept you in the race.

You just said yourself that Scholes alone done 50% of what Nani done.

Nani scored 2, set up 2. All crucial goals. Then he scored an additional 2 and set up 1 in 2 Champions League games. Far more of a contribution than Scholes. It's just a shame Fergie once again decided to let Chelsea play instead of trying to show them what we can do.

At best he won you 6 points (there's nothing to say you still wouldn't have beaten Spurs), that's not single handedly keeping you in the race.

Had he won you double that many points towards the back end of the season then maybe you could say that.

Get 20million + Ireland and that'd be amazing for villa.

Get 15million and give them Heskey as well and it'd be even better.

We'll give them money to take Heskey, we don't want him!

Ireland would be a good signing I think, not sure I'd want Milner to go though.

I still say Ando has a lot to offer, he was just unlucky with that injury this season. Nani should not be sold under any circumstance, he basically kept us in the title race single-handedly at the end of the season. Tosic deserves a chance, can't think why you'd buy someone and then not ******* try them. Especially when they've been pretty damn good on loan and in the reserves, he's certainly played better than Obertan for the reserves yet Obertan has got loads of chances in the first team, makes no sense to me.

Obertan won the Reserves league due to his last few goals so Im confused why you think the above

Ando had a good year or so - Im just not sure how long he will last as he hasnt improved that much (or is as consistantly inconstiant as Nani in the last few years) and with the huge falling out with Fergie, if he wasnt majorly injured he would definitely be gone imo

That article lost all possibility of believability when mentioning Fletcher would be sold hahaha

Which is good if you want to field a team of OAP's;):p:D

Doesnt Deco want out though??...heard he wants to go back to Brazil for family reasons or something...

Deco will be leaving yes, although I'm not quite sure how that relates to our best players.

Yes we get it you don't like Ando, but then I remember a lot of people in January saying Nani would never be any good and look at how stupid they look now, you can never write off a young player like that.

Well he isnt exactly Mr Consistent is he. He has had a few good games towards the end of the season. I dont think any of those that said he wouldnt be any good have egg on their faces yet.

Next season will be the test for him. At the moment he is a bit `Meh` in my eyes

Exactly lol, yes the last couple of months of the season he had a good run. Lets see if he can replicate that form over the course of a season.

I've got big hopes for Nani next season, in hindsight it was probably a lot to ask for him to come into the team from nowhere and replace Ronaldo at the start of the season but come the end he really found his form so fingers crossed he has a blinding world cup, has a good pre-season and take that form into next season

A lot of if's there but if he can then maybe the need for signing players wont be as big. He's clearly got bundles of talent; I cant think of another player in the team that would have tried that chip over Gomes in the Spurs game, not even Rooney who probably would have just stuck his foot through it. Then there was that goal against Bayern....

Looking forward to next season and seeing him and Valencia playing consistently on either wing
