Put it this way, would a club in £420 million of debt really ignore the potential revenue generated by having a shirt sponsor in favour of actually giving money to Unicef to have their name on the shirt? I highly doubt it! I agree that Rosell's comments do seem bizarre considering he is trying to get elected but then maybe he has been misquoted or something?

I can't see it happening either.

If he wanted £140k a week after tax then we would have to pay him the best part of £250k a week just to make it work. £30m for the player, god knows what in agents fee's plus £12m a year in wages. No thanks

I don't know how on earth he could justify at his level demanding 140k a week- that's crazy.
 
Yes, Barcelona can afford it. And the deal does seem close at this stage given I've heard Fabregas has handed in an official transfer request.

Got a source for that claim??...if not then no point even mentioning it ie official transfer request.

I cant see anything on the net regarding Fabregas handing in an official transfer request and ive been watching SSN all day...usually they are pretty spot on when it comes to things like this.

Well I did mean 'hear' literally and the guy said it was off one of the gutter rags so no no linkage is available... signs aren't good regardless though, what do the Gooners think? :D

Hardly you numpty:p...if it is true then i guess we will hear about it sooner ratehr than later but i imagine its full of crap as usual and if its coming from a gutter rag then that says it all reall.

And you know what Gooners think of it so why keep baiting them??...if he goes he goes...Wenger isnt going to stop him, hes never stopped anyone from leaving Arsenal and yes we will cope without him...it wont be easy but im pretty damn sure Wenger has plans to cope with his loss.

Now about Utd??..are you planning to sign anyone with the £6mill you got for Foster??...or are you re-investing back into the club??...seeing as the purple nosed one said the other day on SSN categorically that this summer will be a quiet one...what do other Utd fans think about that??....also will you sell the great Berbaflop?? or are you going to give him another season to show what an utter flop he is??.
 
I think Fergie is just playing things close to the chest. While I'm not saying we will make signings, I don't think that statement means we won't make signings.

Heh, I'm not baiting anyone, opinions tend to vary... usually from 'he's not leaving' to 'we can manage without him' but hey ho. :p

"With the £6 mill"... for Gods sake. :D All our chairman goes on about is how much money we have and (in the latest press conference in New York) how the Glazers have actually increased revenues greatly in the past few years, yet apparantly we're mere weeks away from renting out Old Trafford as a farmers' market according to Spawn... :D
