Sounds like a terrible deal to me, can't see many Arsenal fans being happy with that.15m + Henry sounds a good deal
Don't Arsenal just play one up front? How many forwards would they have then?
Add at least 30 million to that figure, if not more, and it might start to sound like an acceptable compromise.15m + Henry sounds a good deal
Id find it hard to believe that Henry would come back to Arsenal...we had a chance of signing Viera but we didnt so what makes anyone think that Henry would come back to Arsenal....doesnt make any sense at all.
Not saying i wouldnt want Henry back but in all honesty, we dont need him...we have enough forwards and strikers as it is...what we need is a better defence and goalkeeper.
It wont happen ie Henry coming back to Arsenal...ill eat my boxers if it does....Henry is off to America to finish off his football career from what i have heard.
I would have Henry in the Arsenal squad anyday, still got at least another 2 seasons in him. I'd play a 4-3-3 / 4-5-1, with Henry and Van Persie almost on the wings as we know they can and Chamakh playing the lone role. Eduardo and Bendtner coming off the bench when needed. Song as the holding midfielder and Nasri and Arshavin in the middle who we know will create chances and that front line will convert them. Sounds good in theory I know.
Priority should be a new goalkeeper (Joe Hart or Shay Given even) and strengthening the defence though.
Dont get me wrong id love to see Henry back but it wont happen....Wenger sold him for a reason and i dont think he will sign him back.
Saying that Given isnt worth the money anymore especially after his injury a few weeks ago...dislocated shoulder wasnt it??...so theres every chance that he could dislocate it again and that would impact his goalkeeping skills. I'd love to see Hart be the goalkeeper at Arsenal but dont think hes up for sale...Brum arent going to let him go unless someone offers stupid money for him.
He's back at Man City now so thought either or. Joe Hart isn't going to warm the bench for Given and vice versa probably. Didn't realise about Given's injury though so that could blow both out the water as you say. Perhaps Hugo Lloris at Lyon, which would seem a logical Wenger signing, but the cheque book would need to come out for that.
Lloris would be an awesome signing but Lyon arent selling him either unless Arsenal put in a £30mill+ offer in for him and i cant really see that happening....our best bet is probably Buffon with Sagna going the other way or something.
Igor Akinfeev at CSKA Moscow as well should be in contention as well, CSKA willing to listen to offers of £15m which would be plausible post Fabregas. Only 24 as well. Joe Hart should be the priority though especially with Man City not making the Champions League.
