Or you have a gigabit connection and want QOS turned on which slows down the USG quite a lot so I read. But then again again if you have a gigabit connection you probably don't need QOS!

The reason I was asking about channel numbers is because as you see, my two Telegraph Offices on 2.4GHz overlap each other.

Wondering whether to shift the 5GHz one on channel 36 up to channel 100. All recent devices should support that, shouldn't they?

/edit - I've set the 5GHz channels manually.

Ok I've just ordered a USG and BBB have just asked for some info

I'm on VM and intend on still using the Superhub in modem mode. Evrything else is standard

Where will I find the answers

USG LAN Settings

1.5 LAN IP Address

1.6 LAN IP Subnet

USG WAN Settings

Please choose from the following WAN options;
1.7 DHCP, navigate to 1.9
1.8 PPPoE, navigate to 1.10

DHCP Settings

1.9 No further information is required. Please note, if you’re ISP’s router’s LAN is configured on the same network range as the USG, then the USG will not work. The USG’s LAN and your ISP’s router LAN need to be on a different IP network i.e. USG 192.168.1.1 and ISP Router 192.168.2.1

PPPoE Setting

1.10 Name of ISP

1.11 ISP username

1.12 ISP password

1.13 DNS IP
If you’re not sure, you can use 8.8.8.8 (google dns).

What's the software you're using here called?

Just incase you're still wondering...

USG LAN Settings

1.5 LAN IP Address 192.168.1.1 (or any private IP address that isn't in 192.168.100.n)

1.6 LAN IP Subnet 192.168.1.0 255.255.255.0 (needs to match the IP from 1.5)

USG WAN Settings

Please choose from the following WAN options;
1.7 DHCP, navigate to 1.9 <-- you'll want this
1.8 PPPoE, navigate to 1.10

DHCP Settings

1.12 ISP password <-- shouldn't be required for DHCP

1.13 DNS IP

I'd question the use of USG if you didn't know the answers to the above, but I'm sure you'll catch on.

The Netgear switch I'm using for the iSCSI traffic between my Microserver and Synology NAS seems to be on the way out so I've bought a US-8 to replace it.

It'll be PoE powered from one of the US-8-150W's

Since installing my USG I can't access my NAS. Its still on the same IP address but I can't connect to it.

EDIT:

Ok looks like I've got the NAS back. But I've had to change the IP and it can only find one output (dual Lan)

However it looks like I've lost all my IP CCTV cams now.

Am I missing something with the USG or do I have to set it all back up again

it appears nothing on 192.168.0 is working

Edit:

I've moved everything on "0" to "1" and all is working again.

Anyone got a quick simple explanation
