** Official World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria Thread**

The utter trash you have spouted through this thread is cringeworthy to say the least. Do yourself a favour and dont come back to this thread after you have read this post you will only embarass yourself further.

The truth hurts does it?

I'd be far more embarrassed if I actually liked this kung fu panda expansion to WoW, which I had to pay £20, plus £9 per month to play, just to have kung fu pandas added to a video game :D

And revamped talent system

And pet battle system
And added public quests
And added dungeon challenges
And new battle grounds
And added new dungeons
And additional content as patches get released

You sir have no clue. Please leave.

What truth have you told ? Your just bashing a game which is fair enough your entitled to your opinion but youve brought nothing of worth to the thread. If you dont like the game fine, but leave the thread to the rest who do.

Your just coming across as an illiterate 5 year old; you know like the audience you think this game is catering for.

Perhaps your writing all this just for the reaction but we shall see which is the more popular game once guild wars 2 is released; im sure in your eyes its another wow killer

I could care less if any other game kills WoW, I'm not bothered by its success or subscriber numbers at all.

And in any other game, most of that would be available as a free update, or with a single purchase with no fee required. Maybe you have no clue how video games normally work.

I pretty much said in my first post I made, if you pay monthly subs on a video game, these kinds of expansions shouldnt cost any more than the fee you pay. If you pay for expansions, then the game absolutely does not require fees.

I'm sorry but this looks gay as ****, you're a ****ing Panda for Christ sakes.

No doubt this will appeal to furfags/closet furs and other dregs of society who are no doubt getting wet round the things already.

I'm going to call it, this will be the death of WoW.

Except say for...your beloved Guild Wars? I mean, each expansion came with a cost.

If the game doesn't support a huge database comprising numerous servers each serving several thousand users, then the upkeep is low enough to allow that. WoW however has undergone numerous server upgrades just to cater for increasing server populations and increased data load with each expansion. Each patch also costs a fair bit and the money has to come from somewhere.

Wait...pandas will appeal to furries more than druids (ferals), worgen and tauren? U mad bro?

Of course you have to pay for new content, people dont work for free.

You dont however have to pay both a fee, and pay for the content. Why do you fail at comprehending that? Blizzard make enough money from their sub fees, they could more than easilly provide their expansions at no extra cost to people who pay the fee.

I don't think you realise how much content is put into WoW and how many changes are made pretty much every month, even major content is released at least every 3-6 months. I don't play WoW any more, do you know why? Because it gives you so much freaking content you literally have to play 16 hours a day to do everything, if that's not value for money then I don't know what it is, I much rather pay £9 a month for something that can keep me entertained for nights and days then pay £45 for a game like Call of Duty which you can finish the campaigns in 4 hours and then you just shoot people over and over again.

This has always been a complete lie, and people who believe it are fools.

You didnt watch the video I linked to did you? Here it is again, click on it and make some effort to educate yourself on how minimal the costs of running MMOs like WoW are:

To summarise the point for you in case you are incapable of learning the facts - WoW's server costs are less than $2 per month per subscriber.

So they make a profit of $13 per customer? Before you factor in the wages of all the programmers, designers and developers + everything else.

Wow... what a rip off company. Oh wait...

Hmm. I wonder who the villain is.

The pet system practically screams pokemon but it is a tried and tested mechanic so I'm sure it will appeal to some people. Depends on its rewards I guess. You don't seem to be able to level the pets.

Pandarens have been known about for a long time so I'm not surprised they are finally here.
It looks like they are catering to an even younger audience than in the past. My first throughts are kung fu panda when I look at the style.
I can't imagine being able to tolerate the cutesy stuff for long. There will be racism against the pandas! It happened with the gay belfs it'll happen with the pandas.

I don't feel an urge to play the new expansion, the only thing drawing me is my ocd to hit the level cap and gain the new achievments :P

If they implemented the famous ultima online mechanics I keep hearing about I would give it a try but as it is I'm staying away.

They easily make money for that from the 10 million+ box sales dont they?

By your reasoning every single game that exists should cost £9 per month to play

As I have clearly said - Box sales OR fees, no video game out there needs to charge for both.

You have to be 100% mad and delusional if you think that Blizzard need all the money that WoW makes to simply pay their wages and support costs for one single game.

I watched it (no need to be insulting). One thing - as the number of subs decreases the cost per sub increases. The accounts - though inactive - are still stored. Blizzard, after all, are a business. They need to continue generating income to hold their investors - especially in the current economic climate.

Other games don't have developers constantly releasing new content for it and working on it.

Yes they do - just about all games have expansions, bug fixes and updates the last time I checked.

What a completely delusional and laughably ignorant comment.

Oh wait, have you ever heard of this recent trend in video games called DLC??? It would seem like you havnt.

WoW hasnt had any more content released over its lifespan so far than any other single RPG, or free to play MMO.

You pay for DLC as well so what's your point?

You just said that it costs them around $2 per customer to keep their servers up, so if they make a $13 profit how the heck is that a lot? Are you that ignorant, energy companies make more then £100 per customer and that's charging you for basic energy needs and not a video game. The only reason they make so much money is because they invented such a good product that millions of people are willing to pay for it, that's business my friend. Are you jelly or what

Before you call someone ignorant I suggest you think about what you're saying before because right now the only person who people think is a complete fool in this thread is you.

Multiply by a 10 million subscriber base. Add the profit made from box sales to those subscribers.

Also do something that you still havnt and watch this simple video:

Apple to orange comparisons seem to be all that WoW tards are capable of it seems, common sense and logic doesnt work with any of them.
